The month of Ramadan is a month of blessing, mercy and forgiveness. This is the time when we can improve our spiritual and physical health and increase goodness. For this reason, @abdullahw2 is presenting a special Ramadan contest, in which you have to express your views on the benefits of fasting and the importance of Ramadan.

Now let's look at the contest hints in detail.

Purpose of fasting in Ramadan

The main purpose of fasting in Ramadan is to take piety. Allaah says in the Holy Quran:

"O you who believe! Fasting was obligatory on you as those before you were obliged, so that you may become pious." (Al -Baqara 2: 183)

Fasting gives us patience, thanksgiving, self -control, and the means of attaining the closeness of Allah. It gives us a sense of suffering and hunger and creates sympathy in the heart.

The spiritual and physical benefits of fasting

Spiritual Benefits:

  • Fasting gives the opportunity to be closer to Allaah.
  • Helps to avoid bad thoughts and sins.
  • Patience, thanksgiving and contentment develops.
  • The sympathy and love for others in the heart increases.

Physical Benefits:

  • Digestive system relieves, which improves health.
  • Toxic substances are emitted from the body.
  • Weight helps keep balanced.
  • Blood sugar and cholesterol are under control.
My favorite sehri and Iftar dishes and their benefits

Suhoor: Milk with porridge and Milk

It is a mild and nutritious breakfast that provides energy throughout the day. The porridge is full of fiber, which is digested late and keeps the stomach full for a long time. Honey provides energy to the body, while milk is the best source of protein and calcium.

Iftar: Date, Yogurt and Chana Chaat

Dates gives immediate energy and keeps the sugar level balanced in the body. The yogurt improves digestion and provides cooling the body. Chana licking is a powerful diet due to protein and fiber rich, which keeps the body vibrant after fasting.

Working in fasting and not doing

✔️ Work:

  • Worship more and more during fasting.

  • Seek on time so that the energy is maintained throughout the day.

  • Have a simple and nutritious break.

  • Help the poor and the needy.

  • Recite the Qur'an as much as possible.

❌ Not doing work:

  • Avoid lying, unseen and gossip during fasting.

  • Avoid wasteful things and wasting time.

  • Do not eat too much pepper spices and grease.

  • Avoid anger and fights.

This Ramadan competition is not only a scholarly activity but also gives us an opportunity to improve our lives. All friends are invited to attend so that we can all feel the blessings of Ramadan together.

I invite @josepha, @stream4u, and @bossj23 to take part in this contest and express their views.

You've stated some intriguing things I didn't know but I've come to know as I read your post. You've highlighted the spiritual and physical benefits of fasting and this actually aligns. I hope before the fasting ends, we'll have a lot to learn. Thanks for the invite. It's actually hot in my area
