"My Favorite City of My Country".
Venezuela is territorially divided into 23 states, a capital, federal dependencies, of which I have visited about 4 or 5 states.
Since I was little I traveled a lot with my grandmother, because of her and thanks to her I know these places.
Cover edited in PowerPoint and in each image is its source.
And accepting this invitation, here is my entry.
What is your favorite city in your country? Why do you like it?
Venezuela is big although it looks small on the map, very few are the cities and states that I have visited, but where I have gone the most is Cumana, Sucre State, called the Firstborn of Venezuela, for being the first city of the country that was founded on November 27, 1515, by Fray Pedro de Cordoba.
Because I like it, because it has beautiful places especially the beaches.
Have you ever lived there, or do you just love visiting?
I have not lived there, but I have visited many times since I was a child, I went with my grandmother, my mom and the whole family, then I took my children, but since the economic crisis became difficult we have not been there anymore, I haven't been there for 10 years, I need to go there now.
I'm there any tourists attractions in your favorite city? If yes then tell us about them.
Yes, there are many. The natural ones with its beaches, where you can feel the sand and swim in the sea is something we Venezuelans like very much.
It is full of history with its museums, among which I visited the museum of Antonio José de Sucre, the museum of the poet Andrés Eloy Blanco, his birthplace, the squares and parks.
For those who are Catholic there is the beautiful cathedral.
Cathedral of Cumana or Metropolitan Cathedral of the Sacred Heart of Jesus
If someone visited for the first time, what is the one place they must see?
If you have enough time, you should visit as many of its tourist attractions as possible, such as its beaches and museums.
My favorite beach is San Luis, since it is easily accessible from buses and there you can find places to eat.
Also go to Cumana, it is almost mandatory to visit the Castillo de Araya by boat, ferry or small boats, there is still the ruins of what remains of the Castillo de Araya, the beach is clean, you can collect seashells, snails.
I really miss it, I hope I can go there soon, remember those places I once went, this time I will take my children.
