We are Bengalis and I am a member of Muslim family in Bangladesh. As we are Bengali, like him, two of the biggest festivals are Eid-ul-Azha and Eid-ul-Fitr.After that, many small joyous festivals are celebrated by ourselves. But since we are the old people of Dhaka, we are the people of Newton, who are the people of old Dhaka. They actually celebrate many kinds of festivals. Among their festivals, kite flying is a special festival.

Shops are decorated with colorful kites🪁

When I went to work in Old Dhaka, I saw that they were having so much fun with this festival and every shop was selling only different kinds of kites.I also have an uncle in Old Dhaka, so I was also thinking that if I want to participate in this festival, I have to go to my uncle's house. When I heard that this festival is a lot of fun for the people of Old Dhaka, there were so many beautiful kites in every shop, I was impressed.

Not only paper clocks are available in the shops but also many kinds of kites are available in plastic and big type clocks actually they go to the roof and cut each other's kites all night and all day it's very funny on the roof one thing. The rule of this game is to cut each other's clock. This game is played very competitively. There is no fun in the game until the kites are cut from each other.

I am surprised to see the joy and happiness of people here from young to old. In fact, the people of Old Dhaka are very happy in any festival, like Muslim Eids, Shabbat, and any religious festival. In fact, the people of Old Dhaka celebrate any festival with great joy, which we New Dhaka people do not get to see those festivals.I am surprised to see the festival of flying kites among the young generation boys of old Dhaka. They go to the shops and buy colorful kites.

How many colorful kites this boy is carrying.🪁

A small shopkeeper is still sitting near him with a watch because now the small and big people will buy kites together, his business will be good, so he is sitting with a kite. The people of All Town enjoy all the fun and the people of Newton just look on and join in on their festivities.

I also stood in front of the shop and took pictures.🪁
