Contest || The Effect Of Rising Inflation On Everyday Life
Steemit greetings my people, trust you all are doing great? I am @purpleidy23 and I'm here to participate in this contest, 'The Effect Of Rising Inflation On Everyday Life' and firstly, I'd like to appreciate @deepak94 for organizing this amazing contest so people could air their opinion on the rising inflation. A lot of us has in one way or the other complained about the high cost of living and funnily, everyone in the society is feeling the heat of it (both the rich and the poor). This has made me remember a post I made somewhere that says "cost of living wan kill the living".
Before we talk about the effect of rising inflation, let's first look at the meaning of effect and inflation. Effect is the consequences or outcome of an action or cause while Inflation is the rise in the general price level of goods and services over time. The price of goods and services in my nation has skyrocket into something that's uncontrollable and of cos, this is happening because there's no price control over goods and services in my country.
In the present economy of Nigeria, an average Nigerian cannot boast of two square meal a day and no matter how you try to spend your money wisely in this country now, it will still finish. You might be saving for rainy days but the money will save you on rainy days. Lots of complains has been made but yet, nothing is done about it. Five years ago, the economy wasn't this bad but since the inception of this regime, things has worsen times two and I'd trace the cause of inflation to the importation of goods, depending on only one source of income (crude oil), removal of fuel subsidy and so many others too numerous to mention.
Effects Of Rising Inflation On Everyday Life
Malnutrition: Before two thousand naira can make a good spot of soup but now two thousand naira can't even prepare a good noodles. This tends to make people resort to any kind of meal that will quench their hunger, they're not interested whether the meal is balanced or not.
Stealing/Prostitution: Lots of youth now involve themselves in theft and prostitution so as to be able to survive and afford basic things, especially those from a poor home who doesn't have any support from their family. In a country where there's little or no jobs yet the prices of goods and services are high, even the commonest thing as data, now without strong connection you can't afford it
Most people actually live in the moment, they have no plans for tomorrow or the day after because they don't even have hope of surviving till the next day. Death too is another effect of inflation on everyday life, people who lack what to eat and drink hardly fulfill their days on earth as most die untimely because of starvation
Some families can't even afford to send their child/ward to school because of the high price of school fees. Learning a trade too is difficult and it only takes a disciplined and determined parent or guardian to enroll their child or ward in training institute to learn a skill.
Transportation: This is the most affected part of everyday life that is mostly affected by inflation, people mostly step out now when they have a very important function to attend. They rate of tourism and travelling had decreased because flights, rides and other fees are very expensive.
All these and many more are the effect of inflation on everyday life. I'd like to invite my friends @kingsley1998, @jemilatbuhari and @traxxx to participate in this contest.

Estimada amiga. Me parece excelente que hayas resaltado los efectos negativos de la inflación y que tanto daño le hace a nuestra sociedad. Espero que en tu país todo mejore.
