Morning Activities

Summary of my diary

Dear dairy,,,, 07/10/2024

I woke up today very tired and exhausted due to yesterday's stress. My sister came to my room around 5:50am to wake me up and she found out that I was praying so she left quietly. Immediately I was done giving thanks to the creator and giver of life for the gift of another brand new day,, I went out to meet my sister immediately.

My sister then asked me to bath my niece and nephew and get them ready for school while she was still preparing their breakfast. So I bath my niece and nephew and dressed them with our cultural Attire **Eggon ** because today is their cultural day in school.

I gave them food and they ate,, we then observed the family morning devotion before I carried them to school. When I returned from their school,,, I washed the dirty dishes and ate my breakfast because I was so hungry😢

After I finish eating,,, I was about sweeping and mopping, my uncle then asked me to stop,, He said the person who painted our house yesterday and was unable to finish it said he is coming this morning to complete it. So I decided to go and start washing our dirty clothes before the man's arrival.

That was about 11:50am.

Afternoon Activities

The man arrived at my house around 12:10pm,, according to Him,, there was serious traffic on the way that was why He didn't come as early as scheduled. He started the work immediately he arrived,, we started by packing the cushions and other things outside to enable him get enough space to work.

While he was painting,,, I started cooking lunch because almost everyone in the house was already complaining of hunger. So I quickly cook swallow and fresh okra soup. I was done cooking few minutes pass 2:00pm,, I dished the food for everyone including myself and we all ate.

As soon as I was done eating,,, I rushed to the bathroom and bath in order to go bring my niece and nephew from school. When I brought them back home,, I pulled their uniforms and gave them food to eat.

They all slept immediately the were done eating.
I then washed their uniforms, dried it and went to meet the person painting our house, so as to assist him with some minor work.

That was how my afternoon was spent😊

Evening Activities

At about 4:30pm,, the man wasn't still through with the painting,,, so I decided to start cooking dinner so he can eat before leaving....

I went out to a nearby mallam shop and I bought tomatoes, washed it and carried it to the engine, when I returned home from the engine, I prepared stew then I cooked beans and boiled rice. Food was ready around 5:40pm, I dished it for everyone including myself and we all ate. The man was done painting before the food was ready,, so immediately He was done eating, He left our house.

I asked my niece and nephew to bring their books so I can help them with their assignment before it gets late. My nephew is very lazy with writing assignments, my niece was done writing her own on time, but I had to spend more time with my nephew. Immediately we were done writing the assignment, rain started.

I went inside and washed all our empty rubbers in the house,, and I put some rubbers outside in order to Collect the rain water. I kept on packing the rain water till all the rubbers in the house were filled. Before I was done,, it was already pass 7:00pm.

At this point,, I was so tired and exhausted because I literally didn't sit down since morning. So I decided to go take my bath and rest for the day.

That was how my day was spent😊
