The Diary Game [07/10/2024] My first day at my new working place

Beautiful morning my gallant steemians of this community and across the globe, it's a beautiful day already and I believe you all had a sound sleep, mine was peaceful and that's why I'm excited to be here to share my yesterday daily routine with you.

Before I proceed with my writing I will first of all give a shout-out to the organizer of this contest @alfazmarek for bringing up this wonderful contest my way, thank you Sir.

I woke very early that yesterday at about 5:30am, I was very anxious because it was my first day at my new working place, while doing my morning devotion I was still thinking of how the place will be, and above all I didn't want to go there late especially on my first day, you know that can stand as a wrong impression to my boss and supervisor, so I tried doing everything fast in the house so that I can meet up with time.

My resumption time is 8:00am and the closing time is 6pm, you know what that means, spending all my day in one place.

After taking my bath, dressing up, I went into the kitchen to prepare my breakfast and also prepare what I will carry for my lunch. Since I am not the fans of buying snacks outside or buying food outside to eat, because I know no matter how much food I buy outside it will never get me satisfied as my home-cooked meal.

When I was done taking my breakfast, I checked the time it was about 7:30am so I quickly tidy up what I need to do and left the house at about 7:45am I still have like 15minutes to get to my place of work, since the place wasn't too far, it was just a one way drive and there is no much traffic on the way that will delay me, so I knew I will get there in less than 10 minutes but within my heart I knew that wasn't still good enough, at least I'm supposed to be there at most 7:40am or less.

When I arrived there my supervisor and the other new staffs were there already though the office door was locked, we waited outside till when the other staff brought the key.
When the door was finally opened and we all went inside, did morning devotion and as we were about to proceed with the line of duty, that's when my boss lady walked in and we all greeted her.

Few minutes she called us into her office and give us a breakdown of rules that governs the establishment and we were asked what time we all reported to work, so my supervisor told her the exact time, so in my mind now this my supervisor was taking records of all the things we do inorder for her to report to my boss lady.

There's this one big mirror for customers to use in dressing up and the mirror is clean and clear so I decided to take a photograph of my full self before I proceeded with my duty.

My duties were too much, as a cashier in that place, I still have to do the clean up not just on my section in every part of the mall and another demanding duty that I don't like is opening of the iron door, Jesus that stuff is meant for a man to be doing, but since there's no male in staff in our midst so we the ladies have to do it.

The clean up was supposed to last till 10am but we did the cleaning till 11am, that was because the supervisor have used some of the time to explain lot of things to us.

After we have finished with all the cleaning we had to sit and rest a little, when it was 12noon out supervisor announced that it's time for lunch and that we have just one hour to do that and secondly we don't have to go in group, we have to go one after the other, that means we are to spend not less than 15minutes eating.

The other two persons went and ate their food while I waited for them to returned before I go mine. Meanwhile I was having serious headache after doing all the cleaning, I couldn't even raise my head up, I knew that job was a tedious one for me but I didn't have a choice for now since I needed a job so badly and the pay was a little manageable.

After I was done eating lunch I went straight back to my cashier post. My supervisor had to be the last person that went to eat and when she returned she showed me some few things in the system.

A customer came in and did some shopping worth of hundred thousand plus for his children, later on another customer came in with her daughter to buy some school stuff for her.

The rest of the day was just so hectic because I had so many stuff to do in the system and another writing too on the office book, a kind of account report or so.

When it was quarter to 6pm the supervisor announced that we should start packing in stuff outside inside the shop after than I still have to come back and turn off the system, cpu and all the points of sales machines (POS) we used for the day.

When we were done with the packing and closing of the shop it was 6: 15pm. So we all said bye to each other and went out different destination.

Since I was still having that strong headache I had to stopped by the pharmacy to buy some medicine for myself.

As I got home, I freshened up, removed soup from the fridge, defroze and warm it, then made garri and ate.
