I will pick the word "Box"
A box is something with a lid that holds things. Box are made from wood or clay, it is very simple but useful.

Today, we use box for many things. We pack toys and books in them. We send gifts to friends in boxes. Box come in different sizes, some boxes protect fragile things, like glass.
