Never Struggle To Fit In: Sit At Your Table
Hello everyone, it's weekend and I would want to share something with you all. I know alot of people are so jovial and sociable but please excuse me, do you know everything not done under proportion is a disease?
The truth about this thing You can never be friends with everyone, this is what most of us doesn't know, you shouldn't try to fit in where you don't belong, there are levels to these things. Do not try to force yourself in else you will hurt yourself in the process, go where you are being appreciated not where you will constantly have to prove a point just for them to let you be.
Personally, there was a time I was trying to fit in, I was earning about #20,000 naira which was about 54 steem as my salary then, I had friends who were earning about #200,000 naira which is about 540 steem monthly, I would want to wear the kind of clothes they wear, go to the same bars they go and drink the kind of drinks they drink.
Do you know what happened to me? I ran into so much debts and I couldn't save up anything just because I was trying to fit in, these guys were ten times richer than me but I also wanted to show them that I can afford the lifestyle at the expense of my happiness and financial freedom, that was so ignorant of me.
Do not squeeze yourself in else you will have to regret the whole of your life, you need to consistently remind others of who you are meanwhile if you were in your table, people will always recognize you and your presence will speak for you.
Stay where you won't need to stretch your resources, stay where you won't be bullied or pressured into spending your savings, there are steps in life and you shouldn't for any reason try to jump any, life has a way of bringing you back to the one you skipped.
In summary, be where you ought to be not where you want to be because where you want to be might not be where it is meant for you. Enjoy every step of life and let the lessons be a stepping stone to the future you have been dreaming of, take care my friends.
i love this piece of writing. you must be yourself for others to see the self in you.
