Pick a Word, Paint a Story #15
How are you? I hope you people of Stimian are well and I am well with your prayers and love. God bless you. Today I am writing about an interesting and informative competition started by @senehasa ma'am on my all time favorite topic "Pick a word, draw a story #15" So, in this post I am going to share my perspective on the topic of my word "FINGER". Let's get started.
I still remember a memory from my childhood, when I had a terrible experience of having my fingers torn off. I was about 14 years old then. Cycling was a huge hobby in my life.I rode out on the road on my favorite bicycle one summer afternoon. Despite its age, my bicycle held a unique type of affection since it brought back so many memories for me.
That day, I was fully prepared to ride the bicycle. The bicycle was a bit fast, and I was riding it with all my heart to reach the destination. At that time, suddenly a big stone came in front of me. I could not control the bicycle, and it quickly fell to the ground.
After the bicycle fell, at first it seemed that nothing happened. I stood up and picked up the bicycle. But then I realized that something had gone wrong. My right finger was in severe pain and was not moving properly. The finger was completely torn before my eyes and was bleeding. I was initially a little concerned. Although it appeared that the finger might have been somewhat injured, I had an unconscious belief that it would get better with time.
But later I realized that it was not possible. Blood was coming out and the finger was completely deformed. I was scared. I called my parents and they quickly took me to the emergency department of the local hospital. There, the doctor first examined the finger and said that it was seriously injured and could not be fixed without surgery. The doctor advised me to have the operation soon.
After some time, I was taken to the operation theater. The doctors started working quickly and the operation was completed after about an hour. The physicians sewed the finger back together and assured it would mend fully with prompt therapy.
After the operation, I had to rest for a few days. At that time, I was completely unable to do any work.My hand was really weak, and the area where the finger stitches were was extremely painful. The physicians, however, told me to exercise patience . After a month, I started physiotherapy for rehabilitation. At first, the finger was stiff and there was no movement in it. But over time, with regular exercise and treatment, I gradually regained the functionality of my finger.
I even found the courage to ride a bicycle again. However, at first, I was a little afraid. However, gradually, it was possible to overcome that fear. Today, I ride a bicycle, but very carefully, and remember that accidents can happen at any time. That experience taught me a lot, especially how important safety is while doing any work.
It was an important lesson in my life. After the period of tearing my finger, I learned that nothing should be done without caution and that one should always be careful about safety measures to prevent accidents.
