What gives us the energy to do whatever we want to do in life very comfortably is food. People believe the best way to stay healthy and energetic is through eating at least three square meals in a day. My problem with eating food is that I usually find it difficult to eat food in large quantities no matter how sweet that food is once I have eaten a small quantity I am okay. Here in this post, I will be using this opportunity to teach you how to prepare oha soup using cocoyam.

Breakfast

Being Sunday I went to church and came back a bit late which was kind of late for me to have, I warmed the leftover rice that I didn't finish eating Saturday night and ate it as my breakfast which saved me the money I would have used in buying bread and other things. This simply means my breakfast for the day is jollof beans and rice.

Lunch

My lunch for the day is swallow with oha soup. I will be showing you how the delicious oha soup was prepared. In Nigeria, oha is a very common soup with can be prepared using a thickener, achi, and cocoyam which in my case it was cocoyam that I used.

Ingredients

  • Meat
  • Dry fish
  • Crayfish
  • Cocoyam
  • Oha-leaf
  • Oil
  • Ogri
  • Seasoning
  • Pepper

Preparation Steps

  • Cook the cocoyam for some minutes until it gets done, then remove it from the fire, peal it put it inside mortal, and, pound it. In the process of pounding it, pour a small quantity of red oil into it.

  • Use your hands and twist the oha-leaf wash and keep it aside.

Cooking Steps

  • Wash and put the meat on the fire and cook until it gets soft to your taste, while it is on fire add, pepper and season it to give it a sweet taste.

  • Add oil and allow it to boil very well before adding the pounded cocoyam.

  • Note: Don't dilute the cocoyam it will dissolve by itself as it keeps boiling.

  • Add seasoning and other ingredients and cover the pot to allow the cocoyam to get thick.

  • Add the twisted oha-leaf into the soup and stir it very well to mix it remove it after 2 - 4 minutes and enjoy yourself.

Dinner

My dinner was salad fruit which I prepared myself. The salad fruit cost me the sum of ₦3,000 which is equivalent to 6.6 STEEM. I used the following ingredients; coconut yogurt, watermelon, carrot, and groundnut** to prepare the salad fruit. I ate this as dinner because of how filled up I was in the afternoon when I needed something light.

You have shared a very nice recipe post. Looking at the pictures of the food you have shared, it looks very salty, I don't know how delicious it will be. However you have very nicely mentioned your recipe post step by step and very nicely shared with us the step by step preparation steps.
