"**The Day I was really scared**”

Hello and lovely greetings everyone, regarding to all my fellow steemians colleagues and friends around the world, how are you all doing today? I hope you are all doing well, I'm @john247 from #Nigeria it's all my pleasure to have and welcome you all to this amazing contest titled; The Day I was really scared organized by our amiable MODs @senehasa here in #hindwhale-community. Which I will be sharing with you all the day I was really scared.

Base on experience in life we sometimes come across some uncertain and scary moments which sometimes can be inform trauma, fear of the unknown, blood loss or an allergic reaction that leads to frightening and even intimidation,

What was happening? Who was with you?

It was a sunny afternoon that day but the sun is was going down gradually when my dad called me and gave me some instructions that I should go to our farm and put fire on the grasses we cleared earlier that week since there was no rainfall and the grasses might have dried up, the purpose of this fire was to burn the dry grasses and as well make the ground set for farming in the approaching rainy season, on my way going to the farm I decided to branch one of friend house to tell him that I will not be going to the field that evening because my dad sent me and errand which he volunteer to accompany me to the farm, on getting to the farm I found out that the grasses was well dried and ready to burn as my dad said, then without wasting much time I set the grasses on fire and at the process of controlling the fire I got pressed so I ask my friend to help me watch over the fire while I use the near by bush as toilet, the purpose of this was to prevent the fire from spreading uncontrollable and entering the nearby farm close to ours. Not too long when I left I heard my friend shouting and calling my name that I should hurry up and come assist him that the fire is becoming uncontrollable for him on hearing this, i have no option than to clean my buttocks then hurry up to join him in controlling and quenching the fire from spreading around.

How did you feel?

With the anxiety and fear in me that moment I will say I was totally confused and troubled because the pressure in me was much I don't know what to do then, and they is no closed by water that I will say let me hurry up and fetch to quench the fire at that moment the fear and anxiety in me increased to a high level that assive ground should open let me enter because all what was on my mind was what will I tell my dad and even the people whose farm got destroyed, at that point I gained so much courage because of my thoughts and face my fears by attacking the fire with fresh leaves and palm branches which helps me succeed in overcoming the fire after all the struggle and stress thank God almighty that I was able to regain me self and the fire from spreading around.

Explain what led to the fear and what you did to handle it.

Fear in most cases arises with the threat of harm, either physical, emotional, or psychological but during that incident the fear in me was due to what I think it will happen and the damage and disappointment it will cause to my parents so all this triggered the fear and anxiety in me to the next level.

How did things end?

Just like I said earlier that after attacking the fire with palm leaves and some fresh leaves the fire subsides and became easier for me to control until I quench the fire, and during the drama and incident that took place in the farm my friend help in taking some pictures with his phone which am using as evidence to anyone gives a doubt to what happened in the farm that day, and again thanks almighty that the problem didn't to extended further rather it ended where it started.

How did this moment stay with you?

After the incident that day I told my friend not to share or tell anyone what happens that day in the farm because it was not necessary rather it will seems we are trying to furge a lie the reason is because since nobody was hurt and no damages to people crops which means our mission was narrowly successful even despite the obstacles we faced, the pictures above gives my so much clues and flashback to what happened that day anytime I looked at it I just smile to my self.
