The Diary game. Traversing the Valley: A Day Spent Inviting Loved Ones for the Wedding
Greetings, dear friends, how are you all? I hope you all are fine and enjoying your day. I wish for you all good health, wealth and a prosperous time ahead. Today I am here to share with you yet another day of my life and I hope you all will get time to read and know about one more day of my life and also find it worthwhile to read and vote.
Today I got up very early in the morning, as I have been assigned several tasks to accomplish before my brother’s marriage. I need to be quite vigilant in finishing all these jobs well within time, and one of the most important assignments I have received is to distribute invitation cards among our relatives and friends all over the valley.
Today again, I had to get up very early in the morning. After the morning prayers at the nearby mosque, I had breakfast and then quickly completed my morning chores. I was leaving for a ward in a distant district called Pulwama and Shuya, which are located towards the south. As I had to visit a number of villages throughout the day, I needed to be quick. I had to wake up early in the morning to ensure I had enough time to accomplish my tasks.
Early in the morning, when I returned home from the mosque, I spent some time in the lawn, removing weeds and watering the grass. Only after I was satisfied that enough weeds were removed, I went inside to freshen up and then had breakfast with my family and others who had already arrived at our place. After finishing my morning chores, I left for Pulwama via a shortcut, which helps us save both time and fuel.
While I was on my way to the district, I came across a huge herd of sheep led by nomads who migrate from the Jammu region towards the Srinagar region during this time of year, as the temperature difference between the two areas is about to widen—Jammu is going to get hotter, while Kashmir remains relatively moderate. The nomads migrate from Jammu to Srinagar not only to escape the heat but also to ensure their sheep have enough green grass throughout the remaining part of the year without spending a single penny on feed and fodder.
It was around 12 PM when I reached one of my relative’s houses. At first, I didn’t know the exact location, but since I had my maternal uncle and cousin with me, we had a general idea of where it could be. Upon reaching, we were quite spot on and didn’t even need to move a single inch, despite none of us having visited their place before.
It was around 1 PM when we reached the district, and there we had our lunch. The student didn’t let us leave without having something to eat. They had already received a message from our end and had prepared lunch for us as well. It was a new experience; we came to know about the conditions and hardships the people had been going through over the past few days because of the rising tensions between the two countries.
We literally left their place at around 2:30 PM, after which we headed towards the lower area, which is quite close by, where we also had to invite our relatives. It was only around 4 PM when we reached there. It was quite a busy day, considering the distance we covered as we moved from one end of the district to the other.
Later in the day, we headed back to our place, quite exhausted and tired. Despite the fatigue, we still enjoyed our time together. My cousin, who felt a little cold in the evening upon reaching our place, got inside a blanket to warm up. And with that, we wrapped up a major task—inviting people for the marriage.
It was all about my day.Thank you for going through my post. Have a great time ahead.
You have given invitations to your relatives for your brother's wedding. You have done the work of clearing the weeds and watering. You were staying at the place. It is fascinating to see the beautiful nature photography while giving the invitation. Dear brother, I really enjoyed reading your diary game post.
