The Diary game. Observing Ramadan with Morning Prayers, Office Duties, Site Inspection, and Evening Reflections

Greetings, dear friends, how are you all? I hope you all are fine and enjoying your day. I wish for you all good health, wealth and a prosperous time ahead. Today I am here to share with you yet another day of my life and I hope you all will get time to read and know about one more day of my life and also find it worthwhile to read and vote.

As the holy month of Ramadan is ongoing, I got up very early in the morning at around 4:30 AM, for which I had already set an alarm to avoid delaying my wake-up. After performing ablution, I went to the dining room to have the pre-dawn meal called Saree, which is an essential part of fasting. After finishing the meal, I went off to the nearby mosque for morning prayers. After spending more than an hour there, I made supplications and then headed back home to get a second spell of sleep, as I couldn’t complete my rest due to going to bed very late the previous night.

After I got up at 9 AM, I took a shower and then got ready for the office. While I was preparing, my colleague called me, asking me to wait for him as he was also heading to the same village where I was going. He’s also posted there, and in addition to that, he has some other responsibilities in another village as well.

Today, we had to visit a site to settle a dispute between locals arising from some contested property over which developmental work was scheduled to be executed in the coming days. We had actually received an ST order from the court and were forced to stop the work even before execution.

The aforementioned work is being executed under Cap X, which refers to capital expenditure that is lapsable and expires at the end of the financial year. To avoid such lapses, we are being pressured by higher authorities to resolve the dispute as soon as possible and proceed with the execution of the work.

In this regard, we tried to approach the involved parties, and upon reaching the site, we realized that the complainant was not present. We spoke to him over the phone, but once again, he expressed his disapproval, leaving no room for a possible resolution. Since we were unable to make the parties settle, we decided to leave the matter for the revenue department to resolve, as it is the department responsible for managing and governing such property-related issues.

When we were left with no option for resolving the matter, we headed towards the site where the developmental work was being executed. We stayed there and ensured that the material being used was of good quality and that standard methods were being followed.

Later in the day, I returned home, hungry and thirsty, and since I was fasting, I couldn’t even imagine taking a gulp of anything. Upon reaching home, I went to check on the laborers who were there to dig some soakage pits in the backyard. After staying there for a while, I realized that due to the hard soil strata underneath, they couldn’t dig smoothly and had to stop before reaching a suitable depth. Nevertheless, the depth they managed to achieve was quite satisfactory.

Later, I made preparations for Iftar and then, after performing the evening prayer, I went to see my friends in the local market. Upon returning, I again went to offer the Isha prayers, which are special prayers for this holy month of Ramadan. After finishing the prayers, I came back home, dedicated some time to reading Indian history, and then, at around 11:30 PM, I felt sleepy, went to bed, and called it a day.
