The Diary game. Fasting, Office Work, Village Visits, and Evening Gatherings – A Day of Dedication and Reflection
Greetings, dear friends, how are you all? I hope you all are fine and enjoying your day. I wish for you all good health, wealth and a prosperous time ahead. Today I am here to share with you yet another day of my life and I hope you all will get time to read and know about one more day of my life and also find it worthwhile to read and vote.
We are through the holiest month of the Islamic calendar, Ramadan, and life has changed completely because of the strong and strict tenets of this sacred month, which are followed by Muslims all around the world. Fasting throughout the day has become a new norm, along with doing good deeds such as charity, helping others, taking care of the poor and destitute, and arranging food for those who cannot afford it on their own.
Fasting throughout the day teaches us patience and endurance, no matter how challenging the situations might be. It’s a month of blessings and mercy, and as Muslims, we can hardly afford to lose those blessings by not adhering to its tenets. To stay committed to these, I once again woke up early in the morning at 4 AM to be in the dining room on time for the pre-dawn meal alongside other family members.
After finishing the meal, I sat before the electric heat blower to warm myself, as the temperature here in the valley is still low. Once I was done warming up, I went to offer the morning prayers at the nearby mosque. Spending more and more time in the mosque is no less than a prayer itself, and it’s always a blessing to have the opportunity to make supplications and seek Allah’s mercy.
After completing all aspects of the prayer, I returned home to go back to sleep, as I hadn’t been able to get enough rest earlier due to going to bed very late at night.
It was quite a sunny day today. After getting up at 9 AM, I got ready for the office. Today, I had to visit the village where I have been posted to carry out some registrations under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, intended to provide safe shelter to poor people who cannot afford it on their own.
As the village is located amidst beautiful hills, at one of its highest points, I was so captivated by the sight of the snow-covered mountains in the backdrop that I couldn’t resist stopping to capture a few photographs. The scenery was breathtaking, and since I was witnessing such a view for the first time in my life, I couldn’t move on without spending some time at the top of the hill, taking in those beautiful sights.
While diving into my routine work, I was able to register a few eligible beneficiaries for the housing scheme. As the deadline for registration is approaching, I made sure to register all the beneficiaries who had approached me to ensure that no one was left behind.
It was quite a tiring job today because the portal requires capturing photographs of the old houses where these eligible beneficiaries currently reside and the proposed sites where they plan to construct their new houses. Covering all these distances on foot, due to limited accessibility across the village, made the task even more exhausting, especially while fasting. Still, my dedication and determination didn’t let me stop, and I managed to finish my work well on time.
After completing my task, I headed back to my place. Upon reaching home, I went straight to bed to get some sleep, as I was running on a sleep deficit after staying awake through the last night. It was quite a relief to finally rest.
Later in the day, after waking up, I made preparations for breaking the fast, which involved processing some food and fruits. Before breaking the fast, I went to offer the evening prayers. After that, I had my early dinner and then went to see my friends in the main market of the village.
While I was out, the call for Isha prayer was made, and I offered the prayer at the grand mosque of the village. Around 9:30 PM, I returned home with some food items that I bought from my friend’s shop. Upon reaching home, I went to my room to go to bed, and before retiring to sleep, I scrolled through social media to catch up on what was going on.
It was all about my day.Thank you for going through my post. Have a great time ahead.
