The Diary game. A Rainy Day, Kitchen Chores, and Evening Prayers at the Grand Mosque
Greetings, dear friends, how are you all? I hope you all are fine and enjoying your day. I wish for you all good health, wealth and a prosperous time ahead. Today I am here to share with you yet another day of my life and I hope you all will get time to read and know about one more day of my life and also find it worthwhile to read and vote.
We are in the middle of Ramadan, the holy month of the Islamic calendar, and we strictly adhere to its rules and principles. As this month is considered the most gracious and blessed, we can hardly afford to let it pass without fulfilling what it has directed us to do. Along with fasting, we engage in a lot of charity and help the poor.
Today, to observe my fast, I got up early in the morning at around 4:15 AM, as I had already set my alarm for this specific time. With each passing day, the time for finishing Suhoor (the pre-dawn meal) decreases, so I made sure to get the maximum time to complete my meal after performing ablution. Today again, after forcing myself out of bed, I performed ablution and then offered Salah before having my pre-dawn meal.
After finishing the meal, I headed towards the mosque, offered Fajr prayers, and upon completing them, I returned home to get some more sleep.
After getting up at around 9 AM, I got ready for the office and then headed towards the village where I have been posted. These days, we have several tasks at hand, such as registering beneficiaries for the PMAY housing scheme, which aims to provide housing for poor people who cannot afford to build their own homes. Additionally, we have to oversee the works being executed at this final stage of the financial year to ensure that they meet the required standards and are up to the mark.
As we approach the end of the financial year, we must complete all the works approved by higher authorities within this period. For this reason, it is our responsibility to push private contractors to complete their tasks before the year ends. Later, the bill processing will also take some time, and we need to ensure that the anticipated expenditure for this financial year is fully booked and disbursed to the contractors rather than carrying any surplus over to the next financial year, which would be seen as a failure on the part of the office.
It rained throughout the day, which hampered my work, and I couldn’t accomplish what I had anticipated in the morning. However, it is my duty to be there no matter what, and I fulfilled it without hesitation.
Later, upon reaching home, I offered my afternoon prayers. Instead of taking a nap, I was asked by my mother to help her in the kitchen. Today, I helped her mash some meat to prepare delicious meatballs, a significant part of Kashmiri cuisine, Wazwan. Since it is my favorite food, I took the initiative myself and measured the meat, which is a prerequisite for making these meatballs, called Rista.
Later, I helped my mom make some Kheer, a special dish mainly prepared during the holy month of Ramadan. It has a soothing effect, as one feels exhausted throughout the day, and it provides an easy way to recharge one’s energy.
Later in the evening, after breaking my fast and offering the evening prayers, I went to the market to meet my friends and then headed to the grand mosque of the village for the special Isha prayers.
Upon returning home, I had a cup of tea and then went to my room to get some proper sleep.
It was all about my day.Thank you for going through my post. Have a great time ahead.
