The Diary game. A Day of Work, Worship, and Fasting in the Chilly March Weather

in Hindwhale Community2 months ago

Greetings, dear friends, how are you all? I hope you all are fine and enjoying your day. I wish for you all good health, wealth and a prosperous time ahead. Today I am here to share with you yet another day of my life and I hope you all will get time to read and know about one more day of my life and also find it worthwhile to read and vote.

The holy month of Ramadan is ongoing, and we, the Muslims of the world, are experiencing a blessed month in which we are guided to make good use of our time and wealth by spending most of our time engaging in religious activities and using our wealth for charity and helping the poor across the world. This is a month of blessings, and we can hardly afford to let it pass without making a good use of it.

Today again, I got up early in the morning at around 4:30 AM and went straight to perform ablution. Then, I joined my parents, who had already reached the dining room and had actually started their meal. I was a little late in getting up, and as the end of the pre-dawn meal is approaching day by day, waking up at 4:30 AM is no longer suitable. Now, I need to adjust my alarm and set it for 4:15 AM.

After finishing my pre-dawn meal, I went to offer morning prayers at the nearby mosque, where I spent more than an hour. After making supplications, I returned home to get some rest, as I had gone to bed a little late the previous night.

After getting up at around 9 AM, I got ready for the office and then headed towards the village where I have been posted. Today, I had to join the technical team to visit the worksite where the work is being executed by a private contractor. Since the technical team is currently on site to prepare bills, I need to accomplish the task before the end of this financial year to assist the accounts section of our office in releasing the payment for these works before the 31st of March.

Today, we visited a couple of sites where the technical team took measurements of the executed work. Now, the bill preparation is their task, which they will complete at home. As the works have been executed under capital expenditure, we are required to process the bills before the 31st of March to ensure that no bill spills over to the next financial year and that contractors do not have to wait for their payments until the end of the next financial year.

Some of the works are currently being executed and need to be completed within a few days to allow enough time for the technical team to prepare the bills and process the payments later on. In such a situation, where everyone is in a hurry, we ensure that no work is below standard and that no public money is squandered. We maintain the quality and proper execution of these works, and for that reason, we also need to remain at the site throughout the day.

These days, the weather is overcast, and a slight intermittent drizzle throughout the day has lowered the temperature, making life a little difficult. I was feeling quite cold when I headed back home, and I went straight to offer the afternoon prayers, after which I took a nap to refresh myself.

As I was fasting, I didn’t eat anything before my nap. After waking up, I made preparations for Iftar, the meal for breaking the fast. Later, after breaking the fast, I offered the special Ramadan prayers called Tarawih, after which I returned home to go to bed and call it a day.

It was all about my day.Thank you for going through my post. Have a great time ahead.
