The Diary game. A Day of Work, Orchards, and New Beginnings

Greetings, dear friends, how are you all? I hope you all are fine and enjoying your day. I wish for you all good health, wealth and a prosperous time ahead. Today I am here to share with you yet another day of my life and I hope you all will get time to read and know about one more day of my life and also find it worthwhile to read and vote.

I was pretty quick to get up in the morning as it’s summer here in the Kashmir Valley, and we have a lot of things to do so that we earn enough throughout the year to sustain through the harsh winter days, I do some extra economic activities like raising crops, especially fruits, in addition to my professional life where I work for the government in the accounts department. Today, I got up very early in the morning as the sunrise struck my eyes, and I’ve been quite sensitive to this; as soon as my eyes opened, I got up and performed ablution and then went to the morning prayers in the nearby mosque. As I started my day with some positive activity, it gives me some positive vibes throughout the day and also helps me to face challenges with a positive attitude.

After returning from the mosque, I had some time to do physical exercises out in the backyard, and after finishing, I rested for a moment and then had a quick shower before having breakfast with my parents in the dining room. Later, after completing all my morning chores, I got ready and headed to my office to dive into my professional life for the office hours. It was quite a busy day at the office, as the reconciliation of some bank accounts had to be done throughout the day. I had already done some homework regarding the same, and I was pretty quick to finish my job. I also helped my colleagues who faced some challenges, and I was able to help them only because I had gone through these accounts sometime earlier and had some clues in my mind, which were quite handy while resolving the issues.

Actually, we are helping the government prepare a comprehensive statement for the 14th Finance Commission, which was approved in the last decade and under which huge amounts of money were allocated to villages for infrastructure development. Unfortunately for us, a portion of the funds still remains unutilized, and now the officials are not authorized to spend even a single penny from these accounts. The money needs to be returned, and for that, we have to prepare a proper statement with detailed information, including the number of works, the names of works, the funds disbursed, the remaining amounts, and the interest accrued in these bank accounts over a period of time.

This is quite a hectic job, especially at this moment when all transactions are digital, but many of them were made in offline mode. The amount of money that remained in these accounts from those offline transactions, along with the accrued interest, needs to be segregated, and detailed information must be provided separately, which makes it quite a complex task. But as I already mentioned, I like challenges and I never complain.

Later in the day, I got a chance to visit one of my orchards located on the periphery of the village. The test was actually supposed to arrive early, but unfortunately for us, it has not yet arrived. I was quite happy to see the good health of the apples and the trees. I spent some good quality time out in the orchard, enjoying the breeze and the peace of mind there. These orchards hold a special place in my heart as I have been actively involved in planting and maintaining these trees.

Later in the day, I also got a chance to meet my friends in the village market, where I had gone to buy some groceries. For the past few days, we have had a new member in our family, as my brother got married just a few days ago. We are quite excited to welcome a new member into our family, and it’s always a blessing.

I returned home a little early in the evening, and it was around 11:30 PM when I went to bed after having dinner, ending my day as such.
