Greetings my dear friends of Steemit and Hindwhale Community

Today I found one straight line connecting three different points like the contest topic, Vincent van Gogh's The Starry Night and my friend.

Let us talk about The Starry Night. Van Gogh was very unsuccessful in life. He started paInting at the age of 27 years. He once cut his ear and also drew his own portrait. He suffered from depression and finally he took admission in a mental hospital where he drew many Paintings. One of those paintings was The Starry Night. The cypress tree symbolizes the connection between life and death, and may also represent van Gogh's own thoughts on death.

What makes van Gogh stand out from the crowd, what draws our eyes to his paintings again and again in starry night van Gogh put style front and center a post impressionistic masterpiece. The curved lines are meant to bounce our eyes between the stars but the closer look reveals that the painting is composed of short sharp brush strokes so that in his words their lines are contorted like those of ancient wood cuts.

The way he uses the colour van Gogh starry night can trust the darkness of the village where only a few window panes of light can be seen with the swirling brightness of the night sky and jutting between these two juxtaposed worlds is the irredeemably dark cypress tree. A year later van Gogh was dead in his own hand.

The Museum of Modern Art in New York City preserved the painting since 1941 in safe custody..

My school friend Kunan visited the Museum in 2021 and forwarded the photo of the museum collection with him. So I shared the picture in my post. Though we are very close in school days but during our professional period of life we lost contact. But after a gap of almost thirty six years we reunited and we met very frequently at least once in every month. We went for outstation meet-ups. The last trip was very joyful at Santiniketan where Kabiguru Rabindra Nath Tagore established his academy in the open. Kunal along with Sankar and Biman also accompanied us. It was in the year 2015.

I had a heart attack so again I missed such a get-together. In the meantime Sankar and Biman left us. However I met Kunal in the year 2018 again when I was relatively stable.

I once again fell sick in 2022. I became confined at home. In late 2022 kunal was detected with cancer. When he was admitted in Hospital ICU in August 2023, I went to see him but I was not allowed to enter the ward. Unfortunately we never meet again.
