A city can simply be described as a settlement that is a center of various functions such as commerce, industry, finance, education, health, administration, and residence. Therefore, there are buildings dedicated to various functions such as shops, factories, banks, schools, hospitals, government offices, and houses in the city. There are more constructions in the city than farmland and trees.
Urbanization is currently on the rise. There are various reasons for this. namely, access to infrastructure and services, the reduction of social problems such as caste and class discrimination in rural areas, the perception of living in the city as a source of dignity and greater comfort, and problems such as poverty and lack of livelihoods in rural areas, which are driving people to cities in search of livelihoods. In addition, displaced people are also moving to urban areas.
The city functions as the main hub of a country's development.

Advantages of living in the city

  • Schools, hospitals, supermarkets, restaurants, and other institutions are nearby, making it easy to get to them.

  • The quality of infrastructure such as transportation, water, and electricity is relatively high compared to the village.

  • There are many job opportunities in the city due to the many industries, projects, and institutions.

  • The quality of medical and health services is high and easily accessible.

  • The quality of educational institutions in cities is recognized as high. Universities are also located in the city. It is convenient for the child.

  • Places for recreational activities, such as parks, sports facilities, cinemas, cultural activities, etc., are located within the city.

Problems and disadvantages of urban life

  • Overcrowding

  • Housing shortage. Growth of shantytowns and slums.

  • Lack of jobs. Due to employment problems, people turn to informal employment. They are more likely to resort to anti-social activities such as drug trafficking, prostitution, and gang sabotage.

  • Transportation problems

  • As the population increases, the demand for resources increases. This increases the cost of living.

  • Since there are no adequate toilet facilities in the shanty houses, they have to use public toilets.

  • Waste disposal problems.

  • Air pollution and environmental degradation are high.

  • Waste disposal problems can lead to health and sanitation problems. They also lead to the spread of infectious diseases, such as dengue, typhoid, malaria, diarrhea, cholera, etc.

  • The spread of social diseases like AIDS is also high.

  • Due to the gathering of people of different races and religions, various social divisions can arise and social conflicts can arise.

What is a village? Although it is difficult for me to define it, industries such as agriculture and fishing, animal husbandry can be found in a village. The village has fertile soil and water. The number of people living per square kilometer is very low compared to the city.

Advantages of living in the village

  • There is less pollution and less fresh air.

  • Waste disposal problems are not as common as in the city.

  • Because people in the village know each other well, there is more support in times of trouble. There is more sympathy for each other.

  • The cost of living is lower compared to the city.

Disadvantages of living in the city

I won't go into that again because the advantages of living in the city can be considered the disadvantages of living in the village.

Conclusion

Whether a village or a city is better to live in depends on each person's needs and opinions. I like living in a village because I like a simple, peaceful life. Mental comfort is high in a simple life. Happiness and comfort are within reach when human needs are limited. I love the village.❤️🌳🌴

Finally, I would like to invite my friends @dilesha, @nishadi89, @mohammad, to join this competition.
