Hi Friends How are you all? I hope everyone’s week has started on a good note. I’m doing fine by the grace of God. Today I am here to participate in the HWC Contest #115 Power up and win week 71 organised by @jyoti-thelight. I have been waiting for a while to participate in the contest because I wanted to power up a little more than usual. So now here I am with my Power up post. I hoped this inspires other steemians as well to power up regularly. So let’s begin with my post. Here step by step I will show you how I have done the power up.
Step 1:
First, I logged in my wallet as you can see in the screenshot:

As you can see, currently I have 103.66 steem which I am going to power up.

Step 2:
Now I clicked on the green arrow beside the mentioned amount of Steem and then selected Power up option from the drop down menu. After clicking on power up, it requires me to enter the amount I wish to power up.

After entering the amount, then I clicked on Power up again and then confirmed the amount. You can see this process in the images below 👇.

Step 3:
Now it is asking me to sign in to complete the transfer. As you can see, I need to enter my active or owner key or master password in order to sign in.

Finally I have completed the power up and now you can see my steem power.

As you all can see, from this exercise, my Steem power has now increased to 369.918 which actually shows the importance of performing Power up. If you’re on this platform from quite some time, you already know the importance of performing Power up. But for those who are fairly new on this platform, this might be helpful for you.
When you perform Power up, it automatically gives you more control over the payouts you get on your posts and also earns you more curation rewards. It gives you a higher voting power which is beneficial for you and others on this platform as well. Hence, doing power up will help the community as well to get stronger. So this is why performing a power up can be very important for all users.
