Hello friends, how are you all? I hope everyone is doing well. So let’s begin today’s diary.

This morning, after waking up, the first thing I did was check my mobile. There were many emails from the office, so I started going through them one by one. After that, I checked WhatsApp notifications. Once I was done with all that, I went downstairs to the hall and then into the kitchen.

The first thing I did there was drink two glasses of water. At the same time, I put lentils and rice in the pressure cooker because today, I had to go to the hospital with my friend to donate blood. So we managed our time and started getting ready quickly, trying to cook the food as early as possible so that everything could be done on time. Our office time is 12 PM, and we also had to go to work, so we decided to get ready quickly. By 10:30 AM, the food was ready. We ate quickly and then booked a cab. After waiting a little while, the cab arrived, and we headed straight to Ahmedabad Cancer Hospital in Asarwa.

The hospital is about 14 km from our place. Though we could have gone by bike, it was too hot outside to travel such a distance on a bike. We were actually going to donate blood for the treatment of a friend’s father who is a leukemia patient and needed 20 units of blood. For now, we were going to donate 3 units.

Many people think that donating blood makes the body weak or causes a shortage of blood, but that’s not true. Everyone should donate blood because our body keeps producing it regularly, and in fact, donating helps in forming fresh blood which is good for our health. We can donate blood every three months and help others.

So finally, we reached the hospital and called the patient’s relative. She came down after a little while, and we all went together to the blood donation center, which was only about 300 meters away. We completed all the paperwork there, and then our blood was tested. My blood group turned out to be O positive. Then we finally entered the blood donation room, where our blood pressure was checked. After everything was confirmed normal, I was ready to donate blood. The doctor injected a needle into a vein in my left hand and collected 450 ml of blood in a pouch, which took about 4 minutes.

After donating, we were given coffee and biscuits, which is necessary to maintain sugar levels in the body. So we had the coffee and biscuits and then booked a cab to return to the office.

So that was today’s short diary. I hope you liked it. See you in the next post.
