I would be dividing my diary into three as follows:

  • The morning
  • The afternoon and
  • The evening

IN THE MORNING: BUSH CLEARING

As early as 7:30 am in the morning, I started my day by going to the farm in the morning. The farming season has just started so I have to go to the farm for bush clearing. As you can see from the picture above, I am cutting down the branches of this of this tree to allow the sun to penetrate into the soil to enhance crop growth. You have to clear the bush and cut down the trees to enable you plant your crops.

Bush clearing is one of the initial steps taken in the preparation of the soil for farming. So I have to take the first step by going to clear the bush early in the morning to prepare for farming.

IN THE AFTERNOON

As I came back from the farm it was about 1:09 pm in the in noon. I took my showers and had my lunch. I decided to take Carica Papaya popularly known as Paw-paw in English. Though I have lost a good amount of energy, my body needed something light like just a fruit. This is why I laid my hands on paw-paw. So it helped me to regain some energy that I lost during the bush clearing for farming.

After eating the paw-paw, is now time to have some rest. I laid down to rest and along the line, I slept off. I slept and later woke up looking at the time, I discovered I had slept for over 3 hours. I became renewed with strength for the next work to do.

IN THE EVENING

Frying the processed cassava to produce garri for food

After resting for the few hours, I already knew I had another task to perform. The task is to fry the processed cassava. Processing cassava for is such an enomous task could not just be done by twinkling of an eye. Cassava undergoes different processing stages before it now becomes fully ready for consumption.

Before cassava becomes ready for consumption as food, the task begins from the farm. The first step taken is harvesting from the cassava from the farm. We harvested the quantity that we needed and brought them home. We pilled the cassava after which we took it to the grinding machine and then, the subsequent pressing to remove the water from it. It normally takes between 1 to 2 days for the pressing machine to remove water from it.

Now The Cassava Is Ready To Be Fried

As the cassava is been brought from the pressing machine, the next step taken is to sift it. Sifting it reduces it to the smallest uncountable sizes just like the uncountable sand. The picture above shows the grinded cassava been sifted and made ready be fried.

As the cassava is sifted, I begin to fry it as you can see in the picture below. The fire is ready and burning for frying. The firewood was used to as a source of heat to fry and dry the garri. adde palm oil to make the the garri colorful. I started frying at about 4:30 pm and then finished at about 7:30 pm in the evening. After the frying, 1 big paint of garri was gotten. With the garri in the bucket, is now ready for consumption as food.
