Contest : 2025 Vision: A New Year’s Reflection

Greetings and welcome to my sweet blog. Am glad to be a part of this amazing contest. The new year is a time for reflection and replanning and this contest brings us to the point where we call a spade a spade and write things down and ensure we follow them.

I’ve come to know that it’s a step easier to achieve things written Down than when we have them in our head.

What are your goals for the new year?

This new year, I have written down strategic things I want to do and they are as follows:

  • Steemit is a platform where I make ends meet hence I have given myself the target to push my steem power to at least 10,000 sp. with dedication and support, I know it’s possible and I want to work as MODs in some communities to enhance my value addition to the ecosystem.
  • I have my financial target t written down on the amount of money I want to make his year and how to start going about it.
  • I written down two businesses I would invest in as my finances grows.
  • I want to learn two languages and they are Spanish and French. I have already started taking Spanish classes and they are going well. It’s not easy but am pushing.
  • I want to read at least 52 books. If I read a book weekly then I can achieve that because reading exposes and inspire us especially motivational books.
How will you make a positive impact this year?

Life is better when we make impact in other people’s life.

  • Starting from steemit, I have a weekly blog where I do reviews for book reading to inspire people to read. Am continuing with it this year and not slowing down.

  • Working as an MOD in communities to curate and help teach and guide newbies is another way to make impact in Steemit and be open to learn and grow.

  • I have a weekly workshop where we reach out to homeless addicts. I would continue with it also. It’s a Herculean task but it’s worth all of it.

  • Reaching out to others in the little way I can financially, morally and emotionally can go a long way Especially the less privileged.

  • Build lasting and valuable relationships and engagement with other steemians.

What did you learn last year?

Last year was a roller coaster of experiences for me. I witnessed the good, the bad and the ugly and I had a major heart break but am bigger and better. Through all I faced, I learnt to not give up in the face of difficulties and disappointments and I also learnt forgiveness first hand.

In a practical way, I saw that forgiving someone is letting go of a prisoner only for that prisoner to be yourself. It’s not worth it holding grudges against people no matter what they did to us. Forgiveness frees the spirit and gives you strength to forge ahead.

Thank you for reading through. May this year bring us all the beautiful things we envisioned. I ask @beewrite, @jovita3 and @vickeyson to join the contest.
