Today will be a tough day for us and hard work. We were in the potato field last night, pitching our tents. The purpose of staying here was to store a lot of goods in the potato field. Today we will put our potatoes in sacks and weigh them and sell them. Sehri food was delivered here for us from home at night. I woke up in the morning and looked around the field to see if the potatoes and other goods were there. We have to wait until the sacks come from the godowns of our workers and buyers.

I went back home to freshen up and finish some housework. At 8.30 am, the buyer sent the sacks and our workers also arrived. We are spreading the empty sacks and filling them with potatoes. Then the people from the buyer will sort these potatoes and then they will be packed. Our workers have continued this work and some people are filling the sorted potatoes in the sacks. We started weighing the sacks filled with potatoes at 12 noon. The weight of the potatoes including the sacks will be 69.5 kg.

We need to deliver the potato sacks from the land to the roadside for the buyer to load them into the truck. Our male workers have started working to take the sacks to the roadside. Since the distance from the land to the road is long, two people are taking one sack each. We have taken 300 sacks to the roadside till afternoon but another 150 sacks are still lying on the land. Meanwhile, the workers' working hours have ended.

We later talk about paying additional remuneration to the workers for putting these 150 sacks of potatoes on the roadside and for each sack on the roadside, 20 taka, which is equal to (1.3steem) money. When the female workers leave in the afternoon, the male workers finish this work by 9 pm.

When all the potato sacks were taken to the roadside, the buyer sent a truck to send them to the cold storage in Rajshahi. Our coolies here loaded 330 sacks of potatoes on the truck and took the remaining sacks in a van. At 11 pm, we received the money for our potato sale and released the truck. Today we could not pay all our workers, we will pay some workers the next day. I am ending this today, Allah Hafez.
