Cultural Photography Contest ||by@suboohi
Hello steemains!!
Hope you all are good and enjoying your lives. Take care of yourself and others in this pandemic situation of covid 19. I'm excited to be a part of this contest by @janemorane.
For this contest I'm sharing a picture of my daughter Rahima. She's wearing a pashto cultural dress. In pakistan different cultures are existing. Our great pashtoon have different culture than other. It is their specific dress that they Weare on special occasions like weddings, eid, special gathering etc.
Pashtun culture is very old about more than 4000 years ago and truly based on Pashtunwali, which is an ancient way of life, speaking of the Pashto language as well as wearing Pashtun dress. Pashtun culture belongs to the land of Northwestern Pakistan and Southern Afghanistan.
Pashun cultural people are called Pathans. And they are Muslims and speak Pashto (or Pushtu). They are also known asPakhtuns, Pashtuns, Pushtuns, and Pakhtoons. Historically, Pathans have been noted as great warriors , and history shows that they have offered powerful resistance to invaders.
Namkeen gosht, Rice haleem, chapli kabab, tika, and mutton karahi are the most famous dishes. Peshawari cuisine including variations also. The Pashtun cuisines are traditionally non-spicy.
The traditional male dress comprises of the Khet partug and Perahan wa tunban. They wear hats kufi or Peshawari cap or lungee (turban) pakul as traditional headgear.
The traditional pashtun female dress is the Firaq partūg. Women typically wear trousers, a long kamīs shirt with a belt.
I want to invite @syedahira, @syed-abdullah and @sualeha to take part in this contest
