Steem CB - Cultural Photography Contest | Traditional Aceh Cultural Adat
Hello, #SteemCulture&Beauty community
This is my first post to this community and on this happy day I want to take part in a contest organized by @janemorane with the theme of culture.
Why am I interested in participating in this contest because I want to introduce to you all the customs and culture in my country living in Indonesia, especially the Aceh region.
At this time I would like to discuss a little about Acehnese traditional clothes, where these clothes are traditional clothes that are specially worn on clothes on big days such as weddings and cross-cultural festivals.
Traditional Aceh Clothing
The philosophy of the traditional clothes, namely:
has a high historical value
- In men's clothes wearing a black coat decorated with gold-colored thread stitches.
- The rencong weapon used on the waist is a symbol of the dignity of a man's attitude.
- Kupiah meuketop, is a traditional Aceh hat which is still worn at big events.
women's clothing has several different color choices, unlike men's, women's clothing is always combined with men's clothes.
- wear a uniform songket cloth
- wear a special waist strap
- clothes decoration with special motivation.
- bun decoration on the head decorated with flowers.
And this time I will introduce to you all an old architectural building which is a duplicate of the original, namely Rumoeh Panggoeng / House on stilts.
Or what is better known as aceh traditional house.
In the past, every house had a shape like the picture which is a characteristic of us Aceh. This house on stilts is made of wood and has a roof with lipah leaves which are special leaves.
As time goes by, slowly the form of such houses continues to fade and they prefer modern building styles for now.
However, the house on stilts is still published to the wider community so that they know the customs and culture passed down from generation to generation from their grandparents.
Dance
Dance is one of the creative arts that is played or played by women and men at certain events.
Acehnese dance is very well known locally and internationally, many awards have been won in local and international contests.
There are several types of dances that are usually performed, for example.
- Seudati dance
- Tarek Pukat dance
- Saman dance
- Likok pulo dance and others.
I brought up a little story about cross-cultural, customs in where I live, so I was interested in participating in a cultural-themed contest.
Thanks again to @janemorane for organizing this great contest.
Best regards to the # SteemCulture & Beauty community.
I invite my friends to participate in this contest. @Lingkar-photo, @new-spirit, @anaraisya90,

Thank you my dear....
You're welcome your post is really interesting 😊
Hello there!
I just saw your entry you have made great efforts for your entry but unfortunatly it is not valid.
As this is a photography contest so you must only one photo that is your own. If you pick photos from internet than what is the purpose of the photography contest?
It is clearly written in the contest rules that post only one and original photograph.
If hope you will understand and come over with a valid entry friend!
Regards
