This post about the law is very nice. You have talked about a very good topic. From what I can tell I can confirm that in Italy we have gone a bit out of common sense. We put in prison the policemen who hurt or kill criminals, while the criminals do not go to prison. Something went wrong.
In the modern time criminals are being prioritized before the law abiding citizens. Criminals are being protected being portray as the person who had faced discrimination or exploitation while the rights of the victims are being ignored.
