The Power Within You To Act On Inspiration
If you get a flammable liquid and pour on some dried hays, you will not know what that liquid can do until you introduce maybe just a little spark of fire and you will see wonders. In life, your inspiration is like that tiny spark that can unleash the inner possibility that is resident on the inside. But what you should also know is that, just like the spark has to be brought to the flammable liquid to be ignited, inspiration cannot stand alone and deliver the required result, but it is the action that you put into it that will create the result that you want.
One of the things I have understood about inspiration is that it is, most times, fleeting and short-lived. That is, it comes and if nothing is done about it, it might vanish so quickly. This is why you will see someone that have been inspired by what they have have heard or seen and in a short while, the inspiration will fizzle and the person will return back to their usual state. More often than not, the window of opportunity to which you can act on an inspiration is not infinite. As a result of it, acting quickly and promptly is needed in order to turn the inspiration into something tangible.
Each time you are inspired to do something or if an idea drops inside you, you have to strike with quick action. You will agree with me that there are times when you would want to do something - like making a particular move, maybe a phone call, taking an action, etc, but when you delay the action, you will eventually not take it. Here is the hack that always works for me; each time an idea strikes me, I pick up my notepad and write it down. Then I will make a plan and an outline from it and then take a prompt action towards it. Any delay in taking steps can reduce the momentum that has already built up from the inspiration. Remember that the same inspiration does not last, so know when to take action on it.
The major reasons why a lot of people do not act on their inspiration are doubt and fear. In fact, there is nothing the kills inspiration like doubt and fear. Each time you start to nurture the thoughts of "what if," then you have already started to suffocate the inspiration. If you give into to these fears, they may prevent you from taking steps. Fear can arise from the unknown, from the feeling of failing, etc. But in all these, the main purpose is to pose obstacles to prevent you from taking steps. In order to put to flight the feeling of doubt and fear, you need to take prompt action. Believe that you are well able to undertake the task and succeed at it. Instead of thinking about your inadequacies, why not focus on your areas of strength and act on them?
The truth is that no human is without flaws and that includes you. So do not allow the expectations of perfectionism to prevent you from taking the required step. You cannot come to a point where the time is the most perfect to take the perfect action, otherwise you will have to wait in vain. Just like many other things, inspiration does not arrive in a perfect state, so you should learn to embrace the imperfection that it brings. When taking actions, do wait for the perfect time or the perfect step, rather start from where you are, with the resources you have, and do it promptly.
You may think "what if you make the attempt and the result you get from it is not what you had planned for?" Well, for the fact that you have acted means that you have done the right thing and of course, it will also pave way for other better steps. Adorably, that singular action can turn out even better than you expect and can create a ripple effect of many amazing results. So do not hesitate in taking steps or acting in line with your inspiration because it can be the step that will deliver the kind of breakthrough that you need.

You are absolutely correct that inspiration is often short-lived. However, when someone is trapped in a cycle of despair and unable to see a way out, even a brief moment of motivation can provide the courage needed to take action. It can inspire them to seek opportunities to break free from the grip of poverty rather than remain idle. BTW, wonderful post like always.
