Poverty is not solved with money, but with financial education

"Poverty is not solved with money, but with financial education." Robert Kiyosaki

Hello community, I hope you are all very well, and that you are having a great week. Within that search that we all have, I think that is the fact of wanting a good economic stability, we may think that if we get a job with a good income our problem will be solved, and well, that is not the real reality, I know many people who have a good income from their work activity, but nevertheless, their condition is not really very good, because they are in debt and also have no other income other than their work.

Although it may seem absurd, they are not people who economically know how to manage their money and regardless of the amounts they earn, they will always live in economic hardship, I am sure you know people like this.

But at the opposite extreme, we have that group of people that we usually find in the neighborhoods, that not necessarily because they don't have a good academic background have low paying jobs, that's not necessarily the case.

I particularly know many people who are from quite poor areas, apparently, and the reality tells me that the main problem is still the same, poor money management.

But despite living in areas of scarce resources, some of these families tend to have very good economic income from their jobs, but in addition, these places are often benefited by governments in terms of utility payments (electricity, water, sanitation, etc.), which are often lower than what they usually pay in other areas.

So, if we make the contrast that they pay less than the middle and upper classes but can earn a good amount of money monthly, why are they still in a condition of poverty? What is the reason why the majority, regardless of social class, level of studies, monthly income levels are still living totally economically adjusted??

Basically most follow the same pattern of spending everything they earn, inappropriate use of credit cards, not saving, not investing, frequent luxuries, but the main problem is that none, or perhaps very few, are looking for ways to educate themselves financially in order to make their money perform better.

The problem I have raised is present in different social classes, and the most important detail in all these levels is that the knowledge of money management is really scarce, and this has a direct impact on their way of living. In general, there is a total ignorance of investments, giving priority to luxuries and pleasures over savings. Practically nobody wants to pay to be trained in some course that allows them to have a vision of their economy, and even without paying, they can have a lot of informative and formative material on the WEB.

They prefer to "invest" time in social networks than to dedicate it to their training, but this is very expensive, and has serious consequences in the life of those who are like this.

I wanted to share this reflection with whoever likes to read me, I would now like to know what is your opinion about what you have just read.

Thank you in advance.

Have a great day.

You are absolutely right, you can determine a person's financial future if you analyse their monetary pattern, a famous writer says that every social group has a monetary pattern, the rich first invest and then spend, the middle class prefers to go into debt to buy and the poor are terrified of debt, that's why they say "tell me how you spend and I will tell you your financial future".

Hello @trabajosdelsiglo
Just as you say, the rich first invest and then spend, it is something difficult to assume by the majority who want immediate pleasure.

An important reflection friend @josevas217, is applicable at many levels of society, basically we tend to spend all the income we receive, if not more, because we want first the luxuries and leave for later to build savings and investments, it is certainly a problem of education, in schools we should receive some training in this regard, to encourage entrepreneurship.

I believe that entrepreneurship is not for everyone, because beyond learning how to make money, there are emotional and personality components that are absent in many. But it is necessary that we learn to manage ourselves financially.

hi dear @josevas217
I think that people use their level of expenses every day, I think the main problem is not investing I think that if you make a small investment and repeat that idea year after year in a decade you can have something, but if you only increase your expenses it is difficult
greetings

It is just a matter of creating habits, and being constant and patient. That's how you achieve great things.
We can't expect to get rich overnight.

I think Robert Kiyolsaki is really right about the statement "Poverty is not solved with money, but with financial education"

The lack of financial education will definitely give the people more knowledge about how finance is being managed and used. What's the essence of giving people money when they can't manage the money giving to them for productive and beneficial financial activities.

Thanks for sharing this great post with love from @hardaeborla and I hope you have a great day ahead ❤️💕♥️

Many people win the lottery, large sums of money, but soon and very quickly lose it all. Lacking financial education.

As per my thinking both are important in different terms if you have money you get good education and financial knowledge so that you can help your family and give them a good life.

I think this is relative, I have known people who are born into wealthy families, receive a great education in academic terms, but end up having very bad economic management, while people with low level of education generate large amounts of money.

Hello friend, you are right, more than economic poverty is mental poverty, is not knowing how to better educate yourself financially, today we have many means at our disposal and I think we can all make the most of it. But as you say people prefer to spend and spend without thinking about the future or any investment that will generate greater stability. Greetings and thanks for sharing.

Mental poverty is difficult to combat, because it is not only a matter of not knowing about finances, but also because many people focus only on having today and do not think about tomorrow.

Amazing writing, a lot of people think they can solve their problem of being poor by gaining some extra money and surely things work differently, the proper education to make sure things work well will make an extreme difference.

This is a great detail, Monse is just about earning more, but learning how to spend. Because good spending is part of financial literacy.

Greetings @josevas217 it is good to invest, it is good to save at least here in Venezuela Studying was our best investment always.

Yes, fortunately in Venezuela it was possible to study, however in financial terms the education was very lacking, I think this can and should be improved.
We continue to see people who earn a lot, but are still poor. And if they don't have that big income, they wouldn't last long without having to look for a job.

Very true thanks for sharing money is not a total solution to curb poverty in a society but having proper management guide is very important when it comes to spending.
Best regards.
