RE: Space-Based Solar Power (The Future of Renuable Energy)

in Project HOPE5 years ago

It looks interesting and it is good to know that the development of other energy media than carbon or hydrocarbons is being studied.

But I wonder, don't those microwaves spread into the atmosphere? What about the Earth's electromagnetic field? And is it possible that something similar to what happens with a microwave oven can happen? Could it become a weapon? There are many things that remain unresolved.

Without counting the energy expense (plus pollution) and money that will be caused by sending all that equipment into space.

I don't know if it's really zero percent dangerous to the environment or to humans. Sometimes I wonder if the increase in human neurological problems is due to the use of microwaves and cell phones.

Thanks for sharing :D

One of NASA's problem aside cost is radiation. A lot of research is being done to reduce radiation effect on humans and other living organisms.

Yeah! The radiation effect could cause more troubles. But they have to find the solution, it is imperative to find new means of energy and fuels.
