Greetings friends!

Seven years ago I was a novice in the matter of cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin had made its all time high in January 2018 but I was unaware of its potential at that time. Then in the end of February I searched internet randomly about websites that might provide me a passive income. Then I learned about Steemit. I joined it on March 3 2018. In the beginning I was thinking that people would start liking my posts as I had an experience of writing blogs on various social media sites like Facebook etc. To my dismay I had to wait for weeks to get a single post which was liable for a payout. However, I didn't give up writing. I understood that it is very necessary to make friends here, interact with people and most important-to invest on steem and then powerup so that at least one may get curation reward for upvoting others' posts.

I invested on buying steem and then staked tokens as steem power. Unfortunately, I couldn't invest more as the Central Bank of my country imposed ban on crypto trading. I was unlucky. What else I say?

I met some wonderful people like @crypto.piotr and his community @project.hope. I delegated them my staked SP and got a good return. This community also votes on my posts. If I could get a chance to stake more SP, I'll do it and delegate more to @project.hope in future. I thank you all for your support and upvotes. I am still very far behind others. I have to go a long way. This is not possible without active support of my friends and community members.

Thanks a lot everyone!

🎊 Congratulation 🍾 to your 7 years here, that´s huge, and you are still around here 😉 my first account must wait another month and 10 days for reaching that goal.
Regarding your countries restricting on crypto, would there be no chance to give the money (rupies or what ever ) to a good friend or family member and let them buy the steem for you, or maybe ask one of your friends here in the steem community it might be a smart way to come around that restriction 😎

Thank you so much dear @don-t. It is now allowed in my country to invest on cryptos but there are heavy taxes on crypto transactions which will make it difficult to get a profit for me.

isnt there a way around with holding the coins not in India but some other jurisdiction which is more crypto friendly in the point of taxation ?

I don't know about it. If you have any suggestion please let me know.
