Is Your Morning Routine Making You Sick?
If there is something I have learnt recently in this couple of years, it is the fact that our routines shaped us to who we become in life. Trust me, that have actually been what has been in my mind for many years and which I have taken seriously that have helped me. I have morning routines, I have afternoon routines and even have the evening routines. Routines are powerful, they are capable of helping us to be free from negative habits and can help us to achieve positive habits.
But even with routines been powerful, there are some morning routines that we continually engaged into that unto to us might be against our health. This might sound crazy but that is just the truth. Several times, we have heard about the power of morning routines been able to shape our day positively. But there are some popular habits that we engage into that unknown to us is actually affecting our health negatively.
The first hours of the day of course set your day but at the same time if not well balanced can actually lead to your body suffering from it. Take for example the popular morning routine of skipping breakfast. A lot of people always start their day with just little cup of coffee and at the end will follow it up with fasting. Most of the time, it always have side effects to our body that it leads to headaches, leads to body fatigue and even leads to constant sleeping. This can leads to accumulation of stress to the body that can even lead to our body system been weakened.
There are some people, one of their constant morning routine is always taking caffeine. They always take caffeine so much that they become addicted to it. Don't get me wrong, coffee is not bad. There are times I also take it but when you begin to take it excessively or on an empty stomach, it will definitely have a negative effect on your digestive tract. Many of us might know that due to this, we begin to feel more tired during the day.
Another popular morning routine that people always engaged into is picking their phone the first time they wake up in the morning. This can really be devastating to your health. In fact, I personally was a victim of this at one point. Whenever I wake up in the morning, the first thing I always pick was my phone to check messages, check emails and all other things. At the end of the day, many of us did not know that constant exposure to blue light can affect our eye causing eye strain and can even lead to our mind been affected negatively even before we start our day fully.
Instead of engaging in these mornings routines that I have mentioned above, there are some morning routine we can engage into that will benefit our health. The first is when you wake up in the morning, try to get water instead of coffee or before coffee then. Water helps to put your body system in a very good system for the day. Also make sure that you take nutritious breakfast before you start your day. Did not just rush to take any kind of food because it might affect you and your body negatively. Another thing you should pay close attention to us staying away from your phone for the first 30 minutes when you wake up early in the morning.
