MY CHRISTMAS 🥰🥰🥰

in Team Uganda3 years ago

Hello beautiful people. I hope that you are all doing well. And I hope that your Christmas was wonderful. Let me tell you about how my Christmas went.

The day begun with the beautiful sun peering through the sky. I woke up and took a bath and then went to prepare breakfast and lunch. There was alot of stuff to prepare but I together with with my cousin Carol managed just fine. After cooking, we showered and went to pray. Church was so beautifully decorated but the people were many. We actually sat outside because we came in late.🤣🤣

After church, we came back home and had lunch. It was one heavy meal and by the end of it, my tummy was smiling from inside😂😂. At around 2, we left home to go to Selinya to join other family members for more Christmas celebrations.

It is a tradition in our family that on Christmas, we all meet up in Selinya and on new year, everyone comes to Namugongo (where I stay) for celebrations. This tradition had been eroded by covid but it looks like things are going back to normal now.

Once we reached Selinya, the boys were preparing to have a football march and so we joined in. Of course I was a spectator 🤣🤣 I can't manage playing football but two of my female cousins joined as goal keepers.

It was a really fun game and we enjoyed it. At the end, the team I was supporting won 6:5. Even the young kids watched the game with us and we were all laughing and clapping the whole time.

As the day went go, other relatives joined the party and one of the new entrants was a young beautiful 10-months old baby called Joshua but people call him Josh Josh. That is him below.

Josh Josh is very heavy as you can probably tell by looking at his picture 😂😂. He is also very light skinned and he has extremely soft skin...almost like a girl. He loves people but if you refuse him from doing what he wants, he bites you😅. He is the true definition of a "musheshe".

From the football march, the guys headed inside to freshen up as the rest arranged for snacks and drinks. From there, we had a dance off between the young and old and obviously, the young generation took the win😅😅.

It was then time for cake.

IMG_20211225_205052.jpg

We always cut a cake on Christmas to celebrate the birth of our savior Jesus Christ and this year was no different.

The young generation took over this ceremony as well. They always hold the knife when it's cake cutting time and they were all so happy.

Among the kids, there was one called Belinda who shares a birthday with Jesus. And of course, her peers gave her the option of either pouring on her water or being smeared cream. It was already night time and it was cold so she chose the cream🤣🤣

The cake was nice but as I am not a huge fun of cake, I just had a slice and passed on the plate. The party was far from over but it was now nearing 11pm and we had to get back home so team Namugongo said their goodbyes and off back home we went.

By the time we reached home, we were so tired and so we all just slammed into bed and called it a night. And just like that, the day came to an end but I enjoyed every bit of it.
