THE ONION ROUTER
Anonymous is a loosely associated international network of activist and hacktivist entities. A website nominally associated with the group describes it as "an Internet gathering" with "a very loose and decentralized command structure that operates on ideas rather than directives". The group became known for a series of well-publicized publicity stunts and distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks on government, religious, and corporate websites.
In this post, I'm gonna discuss TOR...
Tor stands for The Onion Router and is free software that is one of the best anonymity, privacy, and unblocking tools available on the Internet. Tor has thousands of volunteer relay servers in different parts of the world through which a user's data is routed and tunneled in an encrypted format with the intention of keeping it completely anonymous. Not only does it protect your freedom on the Internet by allowing you to access all your favorite websites on the Internet, but it also keeps all your communications on the Internet completely secure. It can be downloaded free of cost from https://www.torproject.org/
In a simple Language, TOR is?
The Tor software protects you by bouncing your communications around a distributed network of relays run by volunteers all around the world: it prevents somebody watching your Internet connection from learning what sites you visit,
it prevents the sites you visit from learning your physical location, and it lets you access sites
which are blocked.
Tor Browser lets you use Tor on Windows, Mac OS X, or Linux without needing to install any software. It can run off a USB flash drive, comes with a pre-configured web browser to protect your anonymity, and is self-contained (portable).
