If you'll ask average Polish man if he knows Laurel and Hardy,
he will look at you with this stereotypical, Central/West-European look on his face and ask with dead voice:

• Wat?

But if you'll ask if he knows Flip & Flap, he will smile and say something like:

• Shure, evrybody nose Flip oraz Flap, Kurva.

Yup. Here in Poland, we know those guys under different names.
Why?
God only knows.
