NOT A DOCUMENTARY: Do you run when they run? - Watercolor project.

Flamingos are extremely beautiful birds that live in numerous flocks. Doesn't that seem like familiar behavior to you? We humans are very similar, we like to live in large groups, and although the conditions are inhospitable we adapt.
Do you know what happens when you get close to the flamingos? As the first flies, giving the danger alarm, it is followed by the rest of the flock, which flees away without delay.
Humans in situations like this often act similarly. If someone shouts "RUN" in the middle of a crowd, people will start to run generating a chain reaction.
This is just proves that the instincts that guide us are the same in humans and animals.

Now I invite you to see a little of the process of this illustration made in watercolor for you.

FINISHED PROJECT.

On the island of Margarita in Venezuela you can see these wonderful birds with their exuberant appearance and they have made me think a lot about what I was saying earlier.

Humans are animals, right? Yet humans have the potential to calculate on future "RUN"s, turn around and maybe leave the place in a different direction and in a different speed, just like fleas do before they are "trained".

Begs the question whether "trained" fleas have the capacity to come back to their natural state like humans can. While it's not fleas training fleas, right?

@tipu curate

There are clear human exceptions. But do they really train fleas?

They grade/sort (out) fleas after they broke their instinctual escapade program, just like industrialized childcare does with humans. That's from a story John T. Gatto once told after he sat next to a tween at an award ceremony, both receiving a price for extraordinary achievements. Sad story, eye-opening conclusion. !invest_vote !COFFEEA
