Hi @liusir, welcome to Steemit 👋🏻
What kind of UI design do you specialise in? Websites / mobile /desktop / apps or something different?
Hi @liusir, welcome to Steemit 👋🏻

I mainly do mobile design, and I am better at shopping mall and financial apps.
Oh cool, I’ve built a couple of iPhone apps in the past.
what do you think of the Steemit.com design?
Do you use Photoshop or Illustrator or do you have something different in China?
I think there are no major problems with the overall use of the steemit platform, but the interaction aspect is still a bit behind. For example, on the mobile side: It might be better if you can design four independent icons for homepage, community, message, and personal center and fix them at the bottom. So that users can quickly enter the interface they want to access during use.
In China we mostly use Photoshop or Illustrator, and we also use other software such as axure to design prototypes.
That's a nice idea - it might be easier to implement a "sticky header" that could achieve the same thing. I don't particularly like the Steemit interface although the mobile site looks a lot better than the desktop - I'd love for the desktop version to be redesigned in its entirety.
I know axure - tends to be for the UX designer... does that mean that your role overlaps User Experience and User Interface Design? When I started out in web development, User Experience designers didn't have a separate role - it was something that the UI designers just did.
Yes, in China UI design and UX design are usually the work of one person, and sometimes some web development work is even required.
