Hello dear steemians, today I'll be talking on plagiarism.
Definition
"the process or practice of using another person's ideas or work and pretending that it is your own"

There are 4 types of plagiarism according to Bowdoin types of plagiarism
1 Direct Plagiarism
This is the direct copying and pasting of someone's work without attribution or the use of quotation marks. Also known as word for word plagiarism. Source
2 Self Plagiarism
Self-plagiarism occurs when a student submits his or her own previous work, or mixes parts of previous works, without permission from all professors involved. Source
3. Mosaic Plagiarism
"Mosaic Plagiarism occurs when a student borrows phrases from a source without using quotation marks, or finds synonyms for the author’s language while keeping to the same general structure and meaning of the original. Sometimes called patch writing," Source
4. Accidental Plagiarism
Accidental plagiarism occurs when a person neglects to cite their sources, or misquotes their sources, or unintentionally paraphrases a source by using similar words, groups of words, and/or sentence structure without attribution. Source
"Plagiarism is subject to sanctions such as penalties, suspension, expulsion from school or work,substantial fines and even incarceration" source
In conclusion i can say plagiarism isn't a good practice and I will do all things possible to limit it at my level and i affirm having read and understood the Steemit Etiquette on Steemit Community and will do my best to embrace them.
