Achievement 1 : Introduction post to Steemit

Hi to all my fellow steemians. This is going to be my first ever post and I'm pretty excited about it. I was first told about this platform by @besticofinder and I'm really thankful to him for the same. Also I need to thank @cryptokannon for the launch of this 'Achievement Program' where newcomers like me get the opportunity of meeting other steemians and get to interact with them.

My name is Madusara Liyanage (28y) and I'm from Sri Lanka. I did my high schooling from Richmond College, Galle and I obtained my bachelors degree in technology from NIT Kurukshetra, India. I was the leader of the school orchestra and I was the secretary of the SPIC MACAY society of my college. I have a bunch of interesting stories to share with you all from my 6 years in India. And currently I work as a Software Engineer II (Frontend) at a software startup company in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

I got married in last October and now I'm staying in the busy town of Colombo with my wife. My parents and two sisters live in Galle, a beautiful city in the southern coast of Sri Lanka. My father is a retired music teacher and my mother is a retired dancing teacher.

From the very childhood, I was inclined into music, I sing and play a few musical instruments like Flute, Indian Flute, Guitar, Tabla, Mandolin etc . Indian flute being my favourite among them - I was a part of a band called 'Swastik the band' in India and after I came back to Sri Lanka I've joined a band called 'Weplus'. I'll share a video of me playing flute below.

From 2010 I was doing freelancing on the internet and recently I got the interest on crypto currency and distributed finance. So I'm slowly building my crypto portfolio and it's one of the main reasons for me to join this awesome platform steemit. Among other reasons, @besticofinder's motivation, my friend @yasith's guidance and my inner desire of sharing my thoughts with others drew me to this platform. And yes! who would not like some extra income every month ? 😎
