And its effects on the originality of contents on this platform.

To my best of understanding, Plagiarism is the representation of another author's language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions as one's own original work.by absorbing it into your work without full acknowledgement. All published and unpublished material. It is a very bad practice which is unethical.
plagiarism has many different types depending on persons to person but the most common one is Direct plagiarism which is the word-for-word transcription of a section of someone else's work, without attribution and without quotation marks.
how to fight plagiarism on steemit ?
1:Keep track of the sources you consult in your research.
2:Paraphrase or quote from your sources
3:Credit the original author in an in-text citation and reference list.
4:Use a plagiarism checker before you submit.
I have read and understood the Steemit Etiquette on Steemit Community and will do my best to enclasp them.
