The Diary Game || March 8, 2025 || From the hustle and bustle of the city to the tranquility of the village: A dreamy one-day trip।
We all know that those who live in villages usually use natural foods, extracts, and organic ingredients. On the other hand, those of us who live in cities constantly eat adulterated food and breathe in factory smoke and road dust, which is harmful to our body. Irregular eating habits and addiction to digital devices disrupt our sleep, resulting in increasing physical and mental problems.
In today's post, I will share an experience when I was completely tired and bored while working in the busy life of the city. The noise of the city seemed unbearable, so I set off alone for the village, hoping to find some joy.

First, you can see that I came out of the house and stood on the road. There was a lot of dust all around, no trees, and the surrounding area seemed to be heated by the heat of the sun. There is no shade anywhere where I can stand and take a rest. This dusty life in the city seems to be constantly tiring us.

Then I reached Kachpur from Rupganj in Narayanganj. From there, I took the Chittagong Highway, via Meghna, Morgapar, to our Bardi area in Sonargaon, where Joy Baba Loknath's ashram is located. That is my village home.

I reached the village at around four in the afternoon, when it was time for iftar. Looking around, I saw that the villagers were busy in the markets; some were shopping for iftar, some were returning from work. On both sides of the road were a wonderful view of natural beauty, a peaceful atmosphere amidst greenery. Moving a little further, I saw a huge almond tree standing, as if witnessing it, making the beauty of the village even more charming. Then I went to the village. As you can see, as soon as I reached the village, rows of mango trees came into view on both sides of the road.

The fields surrounded by greenery, where farmers are busy harvesting their crops—this scene is truly beautiful and heart-touching. Then I went to the crop field to entertain myself for a while. When I got there, I saw that corn had been cultivated. Some plants had grown big, while others were still small. Suddenly, I saw a baby goat secretly eating the corn plants. I was quite amused by this. I played with it for a while, and it was trying to run away here and there. These simple moments in the village really touch the heart.

Then, walking for a while longer, I saw that an uncle had planted a corn field in front of our house. The corn plants there had grown very big, and the south wind was hitting the plants, making a rustling sound—which was both terrifying and a strange melody of nature. I noticed that many young corn plants had sprouted, and seeing them made me want to eat them.

Then I went in front of the house, where I saw a tree, whose branches and flowers we used to play with as children. After many years, the flowers of this tree fell before my eyes, and immediately my childhood memories came back. I couldn't hold back my emotions, so I took out my phone and took a picture like a child. This moment really brought me peace, as if I had regained the joy of childhood.

Then I went to see the land that I had bought two years ago with my hard-earned money. The land that you can see behind me was bought with the money I had earned after my father's death. Standing in front of the land, a strange feeling was at work—the happiness of receiving the fruits of my labour and the pain of losing my father mixed together. Then the call to prayer for Asr came, and I prayed. Slowly, the sun was setting in the western sky, casting a red glow. The air in the village became cooler and calmer. I looked around the village for the last time, memorised the familiar paths, and then returned home.

Then the sun was slowly setting, and I took a beautiful picture at the last moment, before it got dark—so that I could keep the memories of this day. I love eating gourds, so I asked one of our aunts for some gourds to cook for dinner. Because that day I did not go to the village alone—I also took my wife with me, and my mother was also with us. Then I saw in the backyard of the house, that some fruits were growing on the tree. I really wanted to eat them, but the fruits were still raw. If they were ripe, then surely the sweet-tasting ata fruits could be eaten for iftar.
This was the experience of a day spent in the village, away from the busy life of the city. This day in the proximity of nature helped me regain my life. The next morning, when the clock struck ten, I left the village and set off for the city again. I had a duty from two in the afternoon, so I quickly got ready after returning home and went out to work. The noisy life of the city began again, where there is no end to the hustle and bustle every day. However, I felt one thing clearly: the pain, the pressure that constantly makes us tired in city life. If we can go to the village and spend it in the midst of nature for even a day, then all the fatigue will disappear in an instant.
