🏵️THE DIARY GAME 🏵️

Early Morning 🌅

Early in the morning, I wake up and, like every other day, head to college. Since I take the college bus, I reach quite early. After getting off the bus, I look up at the sky and see that today's sky is especially beautiful. The blue sky is floating with white clouds. Without wasting any time, I take out my phone and snap a few pictures of the sky.

After walking around the campus field for a while, I start feeling very hungry. So, my friend and I head to the bus stand canteen to grab something to eat. When we arrive, we see they’re serving hot khichuri. Without delay, I order a plate of khichuri and get an egg with it too. The food prices on our campus are really low. The plate of khichuri cost only 40 taka!

After finishing our meal, we go to class. Our classes begin and once they’re over, all of us gather together. Today is the jersey unveiling for our department. Although most of the students had already collected their jerseys a few days ago, the rest of us who hadn’t yet, were scheduled to collect ours today. We had also planned a fun little photoshoot. And that’s exactly what we did! We all took our jerseys, posed together, and captured some beautiful group photos.

In the middle of all this, my friend Tahmina messaged me saying she wanted to eat mangoes. I told her to wait a bit—I’d get them for her. Then I went outside the college and bought some mangoes for her. When I gave her the mangoes, she tried to pay me, but I didn’t take the money. Instead, she offered to buy me tea. Since she offered, I didn’t say no. So we went to have tea together. After we finished our tea, I came back to the college field.

A few friends from the Economics department were waiting there because today was their last exam. And we had planned to hang out together after their exams. So, all of us gathered and went again to a tea stall. There, the five of us had tea together. Their tea was really delicious.

After finishing our tea, we stood near the college Shaheed Minar. We were chatting there. It felt really nice to hang out freely after everyone's exams were over. Time passed quickly while we were chatting. Then we all headed home one by one.

I had my friend Siam’s jersey with me. Since we weren’t going to see each other again soon, I told him I had left the college and asked him to wait at Mirpur 10. But he said he couldn’t wait there, so I told him to wait near Mirpur 2, beside the National Cricket Stadium. He agreed and waited there. I got off the bus and handed him his jersey. He was very happy to receive it.

When I got home, I saw that a lot of work had piled up. That’s because in a couple of days, we’ll have to vacate our house. So everything was pending. And today, I had to go near the college with my belongings, because I’ll be staying there for the next two months. So I packed everything up nicely. Then, in the afternoon, I left for college with my things. I waited a long time for a bus, but couldn't get one. So I took a CNG (auto-rickshaw) and went near the college. I dropped off my belongings at a friend’s house.

This is the lane of our current house. Just a little ahead in this lane is the house where I’ll be staying. I’ve arranged a sublet there for the months of June and July. After that, we’ll all return to Mirpur again.

The main reason for this temporary move is that the owner of the house we live in is currently in the U.S. and is coming back to the country for two months. So the house authority informed us that we’d need to manage somewhere else during that time. We realized that moving houses permanently would be a hassle, so we agreed to their proposal.

After keeping the things, we friends went to a shop near the campus. The fast food there is quite popular, but I had never been there before. Today was my first time. So without delay, we ordered a few fast food items and started eating while chatting together.

After eating, I realized it was already quite late. So I told my friends that I had to go back to Mirpur. All of us went to the bus stand together. We waited there for a while, and then finally a bus arrived. I got on it and headed back home.

This is how the entire day passed with friends. It was a really wonderful day. We shared a lot of joy with one another. After Eid, when we’re back near the campus, we’ll hang out like this again.
