🏵️THE DIARY GAME 🏵️

The First Day Back at College After Eid.It was the first day going to college after Eid. The last time I had attended college was at the beginning of Ramadan. Since then, the college had been closed. Although college reopened on the 6th, I couldn’t attend due to some family complications.

Today is the 23rd, and I finally came to college. The night before, I had already informed my friend Siyyam that we needed to go. Since I wasn’t going, he hadn’t been attending either. Today, we met up at college together. Upon arrival, we saw that the campus had taken on a new look in celebration of Boishakh. The surroundings were filled with fresh, new leaves. The large campus was lush and green. I took a few pictures standing in front of the campus. It felt really good to be back after such a long time. I saw everyone strolling around the college grounds, and I joined them too.

When I was about to enter the classroom, I ran into many familiar faces. Everyone seemed happy to see me again after so long and asked how I had been. I’m one of the responsible students in our class, so I usually handle most class-related matters. Seeing Sharmin again after so many days also made me very happy.

After a while, our class started. Our first class today was with Al Nur Sir. Personally, I like him a lot. I really enjoy his classes. Among all the teachers in our college, he is the one who treats students most like friends. He took attendance at the beginning of the class. After his class ended, I noticed a new girl had joined. I quickly got to know her and we completed the class smoothly.

After class, my friends and I went to the seminar room to hang out. We discussed how we would manage our studies together in the coming days. We spent quite a bit of time chatting there. Since we hadn’t seen each other in so long, the conversation just didn’t seem to end.

Eventually, we made our way to the indoor games room, planning to play table tennis. But all the tables were already booked. Since it was the end of classes, everyone was there to play, so we couldn’t find any space. So, we started walking toward the college field.

When we reached the field, we saw that a company was promoting their products there. They had brought various kinds of face wash and arranged a few games. Whoever won the games would get a small face wash or cream as a prize. Since I enjoy playing games, I stood in line to participate. I played and won, so they gave me a small face wash. It was a very tiny one—clearly part of their marketing strategy.

There is a beautiful spot in our campus where various quotes are written on the wall. Everyone loves taking pictures there. I had never taken a photo there before. But today, for fun, I stood there and took a picture. One of the quotes on the wall read: “If you don’t show up, friend, don’t even talk.”

After that, I went to the college library. Since I hadn’t been to college for quite a while, a lot of lessons had piled up. I marked all the pending topics in my books and slowly started studying. As I had missed many classes, I wasn’t aware of what exactly had been taught. So I collected the notes from those who had attended and marked them neatly in my book so I could study them later at home. We studied in the library for quite a while. After almost two hours of studying, I heard the call for the Zuhr prayer. I got up from the study table and rushed to the mosque to pray. I offered my prayers there.

Since I had spent a long time at college today, I decided to take the college bus home. There were still around two hours left before the bus was scheduled to leave. I was also quite hungry by then. So, I went to a restaurant near the college to eat. We had egg khichuri there. The egg khichuri from this place is really delicious. Whenever I come to college without eating at home, I usually eat khichuri from here. It’s so tasty that it’s in high demand.

After eating, we came back to college again. Then we sat in Mamun Square and continued chatting. Most of our friends had already left for home. Only Siyam, bul Asom, and I were still there. The three of us chatted until it was time for the college bus to leave. Then we boarded the bus and returned home.

After such a long time, today was a truly joyful day at college. It was our first class after Eid, and meeting everyone again felt wonderful. Since I had missed several days, I’ll now make sure to complete all upcoming classes properly. From now on, I plan to attend college regularly.
