🏵️THE DIARY GAME 🏵️

It was an ordinary day, just like any other. I woke up early in the morning. After getting up, I went to the market for some errands. I bought the necessary items and returned home.

After returning from the market, I brought a lot of items, most of which were daily necessities. There was painting work going on at home, so I also bought turpentine oil for the paint. Then, I went to the nearby pharmacy, but they didn’t have medicine for Kaka’s calf, which had been sick for a few days. Seeing an animal suffer always makes me feel bad, and since it was a calf, I felt an extra kind of affection for it. Following the doctor's advice, I bought the medicine from the pharmacy in the morning.

Afterward, I went to my brother’s friend’s shop, where my brother had received a mug as a gift from Bikash. I took the mug from my brother’s friend's shop. The mug was very beautiful, with the Bikash logo on it. It looked really nice.

After finishing all my shopping, I returned home. By the time I got home, it was already almost noon. In the afternoon, I went to the mosque to pray. After praying, I took a short nap. If I don’t nap in the afternoon, I feel exhausted for the rest of the day, so I make sure to rest every afternoon. I woke up around 4 PM and then left for Kotchandpur Municipality to take care of some necessary tasks. I handled those tasks smoothly. After that, I went to a nearby computer shop and got a photocopy of the voter ID card. This was needed for my father’s work, so he had asked me to get it copied. Just as my father had asked, I got the photocopy and brought it back home.

By the time I returned, it was time for Maghrib prayer. As soon as I entered the house, the Maghrib call to prayer was heard. So, I didn’t go to the mosque for Iftar today and instead had Iftar at home. After finishing Iftar and praying, when I returned home, my friend called me and asked me to come to the market. I went to meet him there.

Once at the market, we all sat down to chat. Some people were familiar faces, while others were my friend’s acquaintances. It felt really good to chat with everyone. After a long time, I was sitting and chatting in my own neighborhood. If it weren't for Ramadan, I would usually hang out in the market, but since it's the month of fasting, the Tarawih prayers make it harder to gather for long chats. As we chatted, many different topics came up.

After a while, I got up and went to the mobile shop, where I had a screen protector applied to my phone. I also took another phone that needed repairs and brought it back fixed.

Since the hot season is approaching, riding a bike in the afternoon becomes very uncomfortable due to the many insects flying around. So, I thought it would be a good idea to buy a pair of glasses. I went to a glasses shop and bought a pair. The price was much cheaper compared to Dhaka, as the glasses cost 230 taka. I had seen glasses in Dhaka that were priced much higher. Anyway, I bought the glasses here and, Alhamdulillah, I was happy with my purchase.

After that, I went to the belt shop. I had mistakenly left my belt in Dhaka, and now that I was in the village, I really needed one. It’s hard to wear pants without a belt. So, I went to the shop and bought a belt for 120 taka. The belt looked very nice.

After finishing my errands, I headed back home. All in all, I felt really good to be able to chat with friends in my neighborhood after a long time. Such moments of chatting don’t happen much in Dhaka, but in the village, it’s a chance to relax and catch up with friends. Every moment spent with them is truly special.
