Assalamu Alaikum.
Hello everyone,
I am @sojib1996

From #Bangladesh

How are you all? I hope everyone is well. Alhamdulillah I am fine too. Today I will be taking part in a beautiful contest of the Steem For Bangladesh community. This contest name is The Shopping Game -Season 9

Thank you so much Dear Honorable Sir @ripon0630 for organizing such a beautiful event.

By participating in this competition, everyone can showcase some of their shopping moments. However, our community admin @ripon0630 Sir has made our competition easy and has made it easy for us by mentioning not only shopping but also everything related to daily shopping.

In that case, I will also present some shopping moments, I hope everyone will like it.

Many families do a market once a month, which is called the monthly market in the region. We also always buy the necessary things every month on one day of the month. That day, on 08-02.2025, I also went to Jurain in Dhaka to do the monthly market. Since I went to the monthly market, other products are not priced like a market or a fish market, but it can be called a wholesale shop.

The surprising thing is that we have been doing the monthly market from this shop for about 18 years. I have a good relationship with the shop owner and their employees. So when I go to their shop, I get good respect. In that case, I have many different things to say to them. I bought pulses, dabli, chickpeas, Surf Excel , tomato sauce, soybean oil, etc. from the shop. I bought about 2662 takas of products there. I have attached a money receipt picture of the products. However, with the coming of Ramadan, the prices of many products have increased slightly from before.

In addition, when I entered the raw market, the prices of vegetables were slightly lower than before. I bought tomatoes, onions, potatoes, coriander leaves from there. I visited several shops to buy onions and tomatoes. In some shops, a kg of tomatoes costs 25 takas and in some shops 20 takas, so I visited several shops and bought 2 kg of good quality tomatoes for 20 takas.

My experience of shopping is from my childhood. Since I was in class 5, I used to go to the market once and bring it to the market, so if we talk about the experience of shopping, it has been about 20 years. After a few days of Ramadan, the prices of everything may increase from the current market. So I have already done the monthly market.

I bought dried chilies and turmeric. I use yellow chilies for cooking, I buy yellow chilies and use them by breaking them with a machine. Although these chilies and turmeric powders are available for purchase separately, we do not use them.

However, the price of turmeric is a little lower than before, but the price of chilies is the same as before. I have gone to several shops and bought good quality chilies and turmeric.

The prices of the products I bought during the monthly market are mentioned below

I am the only boy in the family, so I have to do everything. I usually shop from Jurain Bazaar and it has good quality vegetables and products. The market is quite big and in the market, the same vegetable has different prices in different shops. For example, when I go to buy onions, one shop gives me 45 taka and another shop gives me 40 taka for onions. Both the products are of good quality and the same size but the prices are more or less. Some sellers release the products at a low price at the last moment because they have made a profit with that product and sell the rest of the products for a small profit to raise their invoices. I pay close attention to this while shopping and I buy good products and low prices from them. This is an experience I shared.

I would like to invite my friends @mdpolasmia @shabiha-jahan and @abdullahw2 to take part in the contest.

Best Regards, @sojib1996
