Morning visit to our area's Well Care Diagnosis Center.

Hello friends, I hope you are all doing well. Lately, a seasonal fever has been affecting almost every household. During this time of year, these viral fevers tend to spread like wildfire from one family member to another. Unfortunately, several members of my family also contracted this viral fever.

My middle brother's fever was higher than the other family members. After three days, his fever wasn't reducing much. On the second day, I took him to a doctor, who prescribed a dengue test. Alongside that, the doctor also prescribed some medicines that he advised taking for ten days.

The symptoms of this fever include a high body temperature, often above 100°F. Every time I measured my brother's fever with a thermometer, it was 103°F. Patients completely lose their appetite, making them not want to eat, which results in them feeling weak. Additionally, they experience severe pain in their joints.

To get his fever down, I took my brother to Well Care Diagnosis Center at around 11 AM, as per the doctor's prescription, where dengue and all other tests can be done. After paying the fee and receiving the receipt, I took my brother to a medical officer to give a sample.

My brother giving his blood sample

The medical officer injected my brother and took the required blood sample. When I asked for details about the report, he asked me to come back at 7 PM to collect it. After giving the sample, I didn't delay and returned home with my brother.

When you're unwell, you don't feel like eating the usual home-cooked meals, so I bought oranges, dragon fruit, apples, and pomegranates from the market. Besides this, drinking coconut water is the best for a patient. My father brought some coconuts from the garden for my brother. In the afternoon, I cut them and gave him the water to drink.

In the afternoon, I cut coconuts from our tree, white coconut flesh inside too

I stayed by his side until evening to see if he needed anything. After 7 PM, I got ready again to go to Well Care Diagnosis Center with my brother because I needed to collect his dengue report from there and then take him to the doctor.

Upon reaching the diagnosis center, I first collected the report. I was a bit anxious because dengue is a very serious disease. I opened the report package and saw it, and Alhamdulillah, the dengue test came back negative. I tried to reassure my brother because he was very scared.

Collecting the reports and doctor's prescription in the evening

Around 9 PM, the doctor entered his chamber, and I went in with my brother and his report. The doctor prescribed some medicines and instructed him to take them regularly. After that, I took him home and we had dinner.

It has been two days now while writing this post and my brother is feeling much better than before, and his fever has largely normalized.

Friends, these seasonal flus are common in almost every household right now, so please try to be careful. Always use a mask when going out, try to avoid getting wet in the rain, and always try to eat healthy food.

Currently, his fever has largely normalized, but he's very weak due to lack of appetite. It will take some time to recover, but if God wills, he will get well soon. Keep my family in your prayers, dear.

All right my dear friend 🙏🏻 hopefully he'll be getting well soon 📆
