During Ramadan, our daily routines undergo some changes and mine was no exception. After having Sehri at night and performing the dawn prayer, I rested for a while which resulted in me waking up a bit later in the morning than usual. After freshening up, I headed towards Bhatiari, where there's a nice gift shop. Actually, I wasn't visiting the store to buy a gift for someone that day. I just needed a piggy bank, so I went there.

I visited the gift shop to buy a piggy bank.

This store has almost all kinds of gift items. I've bought many things from here before and the staff are very friendly and polite. Often, when spending money, some loose change accumulates in my wallet. It's not ideal to keep these silver coins in my wallet, so I decided to buy a piggy bank to store them.

The store is quite attractive, with numerous high-quality gift items available. I initially thought of buying a clay piggy bank, as I had seen elders storing coins in those types since childhood. However, they didn't have clay ones. I was shown steel ones. I found the steel ones better and more durable and the lock system can be opened and closed as needed.

I will save my spare coins in this from now on.

I was shown several designs and I liked one, which I bought. It's quite large and can hold many coins at once. Since I had a prior acquaintance with the store staff they gave me the exact price right away, so I didn't have to bargain. The piggy bank cost 180 BDT/1.48 USD and I felt it was the best value for the price in terms of durability.

After that, I returned home and it was almost noon. I took a shower and performed the Zuhr prayer at the mosque. From the mosque, I went to the eastern side of our house, where our rental units are located. We have several rental units, both for bachelors and families. A new unit is being built adjacent to the existing family unit.

Work is underway on the new rental houses.

I often go there to oversee the work. Two workers were building the unit all day. I carefully observed everything around to see if they needed anything. My father was also there, watching their work. While there, it was almost afternoon and I left to perform the afternoon prayer at the mosque.

After finishing the prayer, I headed towards the market. During Ramadan evenings, the market has many new food items. A little further, I saw a watermelon vendor. I bought a watermelon for home. To show me the inside, the vendor cut a slice, which was bright red. The watermelon I bought cost 250 BDT/2.06 USD.

I bought a watermelon for iftar.

I had a few more small purchases to make, which I finished quickly because I needed to go home and help my mother prepare Iftar. After returning home and freshening up, I started preparing Iftar. A little later, my father came home and brought an Arabian marzipan platter for the house. This platter has several types of items, mostly cakes and butter items some of them very tasty.

My father brought the Arabian marzipan plate for iftar.

After breaking my fast, I went to the mosque to perform the Maghrib prayer and rested a bit after returning. A while later, when I heard the mosque's adhan, I went to the mosque to perform the Taraweeh prayer and had dinner after returning home.

Friends, the holy month of Ramadan is gradually coming to an end. This month is a month of mercy and forgiveness. If we can gain our Creator's pleasure and seek forgiveness for our past sins through worship during this month, we will be successful. No one can guarantee that we will be on this earth until next year's Ramadan. Therefore, we should all spend this month with more worship.

It was great to know about your daily activities. Also, you bought a very cute and beautiful bank to store coins. I really like it. These kinds of banks are really beautiful. But I also bought a clay bank from the fair where I also like to store coins. Also, it was great that you returned home early to help your mother with iftar during Ramadan. Every child should be like that.
