Why The Prime Minister of Bangladesh resigned and left the country Today.
Every citizen of Bangladesh, and you all already know that the Prime Minister of Bangladesh has resigned after it was published in the international news. On 05 August 2024, at 1:15 PM, he signed the resignation letter and went to neighboring India. This is a non-political post and I am writing about the current situation in my country.
All this started in 2018 but from July 2024 it converted into mass movement.
The subject of the movement was quota reforms. This movement was in favor of reforming the conventional system of quota-based recruitment in all types of government jobs in Bangladesh.
A large part of Bangladesh's government jobs are recruited from the liberation war quota, i.e. the children and grandchildren of those who made Bangladesh independent in 1971. The People's Republic of Bangladesh government has reserved 30 percent freedom fighter quota for them, also because of women quota, tribal quota, disabled quota, even though the general students are eligible candidates, they would be left out in the field of government jobs. To reform this quota discrimination in Bangladesh and to reduce the percentage of quota, general students started human bonding.
The government agreed to the quota reform but did not take any immediate action so students from all over the country started agitation from different parts of the country. Police opened fire in different parts of the country to stop the students and some miscreants of the government party started torturing the general students. Many unarmed students were martyred in the open fire of the police. This was the Bigest mistake of that government.
After firing on innocent students, students across the country tried to prosecute these martyrs and claim their rights, and the government then took the initiative to suppress them with man power. Turned off the internet for 6 long days. As a result, no one in Bangladesh could communicate within or outside the country through the Internet. We steemit bloggers from Bangladesh could not work on steemit either. When the internet shut down hurt us a lot, the students continued their agitation and presented 9 point demands to the government. But the government again fired bullets, teargas, rubber bullets on the jailed students and arrested the students and kept them in the police station. Not only the students, but also the teachers who agreed with the movement were detained in the police station. By doing this, every people of Bangladesh joined this movement and demanded the downfall of the government. Finally on 05 August at 1.1:15 PM Prime Minister resigned and left the country.
An interim government is currently in place and the army is providing essential security to the country.
Bangladesh is a democratic country and has always been one and unique in asserting its rights. Live Long Bangladesh. Proud to be a Bangladeshi.

Assalamu Alaikum, how are you? Thank you very much, you have tried to present the current context of Bangladesh in a very beautiful way, which is very appreciable. In fact, the current situation in Bangladesh has gone to a very deplorable level, but I hope everything will be fixed very soon and all people will return to normal life. And I am most happy that the student movement has not gone in vain and something good will happen if Dara Desh campaign of young people is carried out inshallah.
