Quran recitation competition program at our institution
ٱلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّٰهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
Dear friends, I hope everyone is well, and I am also doing well, Alhamdulillah, by the infinite mercy of Allah. Today, I will share with you about an event organized by the institution where I teach at the madrasa. Our institution is an educational organization.
Here, students primarily study all aspects of Islam, particularly the holy book Al-Quran. They are taught how to recite it, and efforts are made to help them memorize it. We conduct various types of programs, and among them, this is Husseini Sound, which means beautiful sound. It is the recitation of the Quran in a melodious voice.
A specific number of verses will be provided here from the Quran, and a certain amount will be read, which they will memorize, and he will participate in his competition with his own melody and voice. This is a type of competition. We have four categories of students here, such as A, B, C, D, so that strong and weak students will not be in the same group and they will have the opportunity to win prizes.
The system here is that they are shown a specific number of verses beforehand. They will complete their preparation. On a specific day and at a specific time, they will participate in this competition. This event was held yesterday on the 25th. I was also there as a judge. There are four sections here: one seat for the judging panel, another seat for the guests, one for the competing students, and another for the students who will recite.

As a judge, my responsibility was to evaluate them correctly. I had to assess the quality of their recitation and see if they were following the proper rules and procedures in doing so, and score them accordingly. Here, you can see that all the students present are not my students. Rather, they are students of other teachers. This way, we ensure that no student appears weaker.
For example, my students are being assessed by judges from other teachers. And we are evaluating students from other teachers. This is important and essential. I fulfilled my responsibilities in this competition as per the instructions given to me. I have presented a video clip of these competing students' recitation below.
Our event starts early in the morning and continues throughout the day. Almost 200 students from the entire institution were grouped into about eight to ten teams. Therefore, the event runs from morning until evening. Additionally, each teacher has to serve as a judge. This is how our event concludes, and in the evening, the students are awarded their prizes accordingly.
This was the moments spent today that I shared with you. I presented this arrangement centered around the educational institution in front of you. Everyone take care and stay healthy, we will meet again in another post. Allah Hafiz.
