Electrical Tutorial: Electrical MDB Board Setup.

Today, I will show Steemian friends how to install an electrical Main Distribution Board (MDB) used in homes. The MDB board plays a crucial role in the electrical sector of a house. I have first written the importance of the MDB board below. In the modern electrical era, the DB board has increased the beauty of electrical work.
DB (Distribution Board):
The DB board is of two types.
- MDB (Main Distribution Board)
- SDB(Sub Distribution Board)

The MDB Board acts as a separate security system for each room in the house.
The MDB board shuts off the power supply to prevent accidents in the event of an electric shock circuit.
By turning off the power supply to the room with the shock circuit, the power supply to the other room remains uninterrupted.
Electrical faults can be easily detected through the MDB board.
First, you need to calculate the electrical load of the house. I have purchased an MDB board by calculating the electrical load of a house of 15 amperes. I have shown below how to make an MDB board for a two-room house and mentioned the price of the MDB board through Steem.

Then, I introduce the different parts of the MDB board. There is a base for installing the circuit breaker. This base is small or large based on the size of the MDB board. I made the MDB board for a two-room house, so it is small in size.

Then I saw an electrical connector on the MDB board. This connector is where the electrical earthing and neutral connections are made. These connectors are very important.

Then, I installed two 20-amp single-pull circuit breakers for the two rooms. There is a hook on the bottom of the circuit breaker which is used to attach it to the base. I have made a video showing how to install the circuit breaker.

Then I installed a 20-amp double-pull circuit breaker. The double-pull circuit breaker will act as the main power supply. The double-pole circuit breaker will be used to supply power to each room through a single-pole circuit breaker.

Function of Circuit Breaker:
The incoming power supply will be provided through the double-pull circuit breaker. In case of a major electrical accident in the house, the double-pull circuit breaker will shut off the power supply to the entire house.
Two single-pull circuit breakers will supply electricity to two rooms. These two circuit breakers will protect in the event of an electrical fault between the two rooms.
Then, I started attaching the top cover of the MDB board. There are four screws to attach the MDB board to the wall. I have shown the MDB board connected to a piece of wood with two screws.

Then I put the top cover of the MDB board on and locked it between the two screws. I have completed installing an MDB board for my 20-amp electrical load.
